One of the best cheap and quick inn’s in Minnesota. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are very cosy. This is also the perfect place to stay if you’re a mountain biker. The munger trail is right in your backyard. This is truly the most affordable inn.Nearby activities: The Duluth Zoo is right up the hill, and you get in for free with a pass from the inn.

Very pleased with our 2 stays we've had here. Pet friendly, free zoo pass, they provide grills and firepits. Minutes from canal park and right on a nice walking trail. Great place!!

Made a reservation through BringFido and checked to make sure there was no pet size restrictions (there were none listed, just a very reasonable $25/night fee). My husband drove up with one of our dogs from Texas to go see his mom (didn't want to inconvenience her by staying at her place). Hubby shows up, finds out they changed his room from a double to a Queen (including the additional rate charge) and they had a problem with a large dog. The rudeness from the owner was unacceptable. He told my husband "if you don't like it you don't have to fu**ing stay here". My husband drove to his mother's and I called BringFido to make sure we were not charged and to get our trip insurance refunded. The person I spoke with at BringFido called the Willard Munger Inn and got attitude as well. I applaud Bringfido, as they provided exemplary customer service. Too bad I can't say the same for the Willard Munger Inn. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

A little pricey. However, the free bikes for the trails and passes for the zoo make up for it. Bathroom needs to be updated. Shower head is set too low so have to bend and it looks like it keeps being painted over. Beds are very comfy!

Nice, clean motel right by the Willard Munger Trailhead. Cute back courtyard area with chairs and a fire ring. Room rental came with a pass to get into the Lake Superior Zoo (across the street).

The only thing about this place was there is a bike trail right next door. If you smoke this is the place for you because it smells like smoke and staff/guests smoke everywhere. Dog friendly but I'm charged extra for a dog while there are dogs living on the property that don't seem really friendly. Our room had a small air conditioner which was to small for the room size. Towels were large but take a long time to dry so I had to make a trip to Menards to get a fan. They use a lot of paint, wondering how many layers there actually are. It looks like they just paint everything to cover up a problem.Shower was very small and you can definitely see mold. Housekeeping isn't their specialty. Our room was never attended. No breakfast even though it's listed as such. I like shabby chic but this place really really needs an overhaul. It looks like they start and then just give up and cover it with paint. Not sure we're all the five star reviews are coming from because this place doesn't even rate a star for the cost.

My new go-to spot in Duluth. Great location and very clean/cozy rooms. Right off the Willard Munger trail which is gorgeous (photo was ~5min walk from our door!)If you’re into the outdoors, hard to beat. Plus it’s super close to all the cool breweries in the Lincoln Park district. Really a hidden gem with a great, friendly host! Better than staying in Canal Park or up the hill!Rooms: Very clean/cozy cabin themed rooms. Nice TV and kitchenette in our particular unit too!Nearby activities: Right across from Spirit Mtn (with discounts offered for guests!) and the Zoo. Willard Munger trail is literally feet away. ~10min from incredible hiking at Ely’s Peak and from Canal Park.Walkability: Willard Munger trail will get you all kinds of access to nearby areas - plus you can use bikes for free here, super nice perk!Food & drinks: Right near the brewery district (Ursa/Wild State) and Corktown/Duluth Grill/OMC.

Incredible hole in the wall Inn right downtown. Jeff takes great care of this place and makes everyone feel like they are at home. Fire pits, free ice, free firewood, bikes for guests to take on trails, and a ZOO PASS included for every guest! Each pass is good for up to four people. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Not only is it affordable, but it is exactly the type of atmosphere we needed for our hiking weekend.I will be booking all my stays in Duluth at the Willard Munger Inn, from now on.

We lived in Duluth for many years and always loved the cozy aesthetic of the Willard Munger Inn. We were thrilled to finally be able to stay for a few nights while back in town for our wedding week :)it was fantastic, dog friendly, and so cozy.Having the Willard Munger Trail right behind the Inn was so convenient for walking our dog. He also LOVED having his own queen bed lolWe didn’t have time to utilize the free bikes but hopefully next time we can!We would happily stay again!

As someone who travels a lot, this was by far one of my favorite stays. The room was wonderful, the staff were awesome, and the place itself was very easy to find. Add to it the bike loan and free zoo passes, and they knocked it iut of the park. 10/10 would recommend staying here to everyone.

This was a great place to stay for a couple nights. The manager/owner was very nice and had stated they just remodeled our room and it was very nice. We stayed in the Full Bed room 211. It was perfect for us and we had plenty of room for the price. The only thing I will say needs updating is the bed. The mattress was older or just not very good quality. It sunk in the middle but it was not terrible. They gave us free passes for the Zoo in Duluth and free access to bikes on site to use on the trails. We would definitely stay here again if needed.Rooms: The room was recently remodeled and looked great. The only downfall was the mattress was old or of low quality so it sunk in the middle. Overall great room.Nearby activities: They offered us free tickets to the Duluth Zoo and we were able to have free access to the bikes for riding the trails which are just behind the hotel.

The rooms are like a 10 x 15 jail cell. They don't show you those in the pics they advertise. And no breakfast either.
