It had been awhile since I'd been in a bookstore. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many magazines are still being published. You'll find ones tailored to many niche interests. Check the freestanding displays and end caps for sales. You can find some good deals. The cafe sells Starbucks products; however, you cannot use that app or points there. The store and restrooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

Big shout out to Eagan B&N for being ready with the Onyx Storm release. I ordered through another vendor and my limited edition copy got delayed. Then hearing this vendor was cancelling people’s pre-orders, I was able to go online and place a limited edition copy on hold and pick up with Eagan B&N, all within a few minutes even 48 hours after the release date. This location was super prepared. Whoever does the ordering here really nailed it. 👏
I was so happy I cried in my car after I picked it up. I know it’s silly to cry over a book, I was just so happy I could still get a really pretty copy. Y’all made my day!!!
This is the second time this location has saved me on a bungled limited edition pre-order from the other vendor and I will be ordering from Eagan B&N in the future. Eagan B&N had this big release totally covered. Thank you for all that you do!!!

Bookstore is great. This one is closest to home, so it’s visited frequently. I often go to Roseville to meet friends at the cafe. My first time trying the cafe in Eagan, the place was not at all busy, but the tables were dirty. The person at the cafe register was not at all friendly. I wanted a small coffee and she said it would be a few minutes. 1 minute later she called me up for my order. The coffee was super hot and looked watered down. I suspect she gave me a watered down cup of what was left in the coffee maker and microwaved it to get it hot. I’m not positive on that of course, but not feeling too good about the visit. One star off for less than stellar cafe.

The Eagan location isn't the closest to me, but it's by far my favorite compared to Woodbury's due to its retainment of the classic warmth the retailer has for its atmosphere. The warmth that the dark wood shelves and dark green carpet is inviting, beckoning you to take a moment to sit on the floor (if a location doesn't have chairs for you to use) and explore a book before purchasing it. Come and stay a while, thumb through the pages of something that interests you. Booklovers of any degree will understand that feeling of invitation. And it's always interesting to see what non-book items they have to offer.

Thoroughly enjoyed 'I am Betty'. It's an all female cast and the story is interesting.

I have never been as excited for a book release as I was for Brandon Sanderson's Wind and Truth. On December 6th, with a giddy grin from ear to ear I walked into the B&N excited to pick up the signed copy that I had pre-ordered months in advance. To my astonishment, they did not have it. Apparently when you pre-order a signed copy, you need to pre-pay for that book, something that I was not informed of at the time of pre-order. I even double checked and was ensured that I would just be able to pick my book up at the counter and pay there at the time of pickup --- I literally had my card out ready to pay if I needed to (although I did appreciate being able to put it off ngl).
Of course my pre-order did show up in their system, and the cashier offered for me to pay there and they would ship the book to my house. While I wasn't pleased by this solution as it would delay my reading by a couple of days, I understood why this would be the policy for signed copies. The problem however, is the fact that they couldn't do it. Even though I had PRE ORDERED a SIGNED COPY of this book, and this was reflected in the Barnes & Noble system, I was told that I was not able to receive my book.
I saved 15$ and ordered a copy from target, but man was I excited to finally have the opportunity to have a copy signed by the sand man himself. Major, major bummer.

Great bookstore, always expensive but that’s pretty much to be expected
Good cafe area for studying or getting something small to eat (it’s a Starbucks cafe)
