I have been going to city image since we moved to Eagan over 10 years ago. I’ve tried other salons that cost me way more but return to city image because of the ease and getting served and consistency in my cuts. I went again today and received a cut from Aysia, and could not be happier. She took her time to make sure that my hair laid well when dry.

I went for the first time. Everyone told me Tammy was the best! I asked her for something specific and even had photos to reference. It was NOTHING like what i asked for. I asked for NO MORE THAN 2 inches cut off. I noticed way more than i thought on the floor and asked her how much she cut off. With a big smile on her face she said “about 5-6 inches”. At this point i was ready to leave. But i stayed because a half cut head would look worse than her finishing it. So i let her finish and left. Attached are also some of the photos of how she left my hair. I will be calling the supervisor first thing in the morning to see if someone else can fix it but otherwise, i will never go back.

I had a hair emergency just 2 hours prior to my White Coat ceremony at school. My blow dryer went out and I was left with wet hair!! I called multiple salons and this was the first place that could fit me in ASAP AND they didn't sit me on hold on the phone for forever.
I was put with Melissa who went to work blow drying and curling my hair. She was super sweet, funny, and kind. I am not usually one to talk at hair salons but she was actually a great conversationalist?? Also, she NAILED my hair! My hair NEVER holds a curl. Idk what magic she worked, but not only did my hair stay curled for the ceremony, it stayed curled for TWO WHOLE DAYS after. I have NEVER had that before. Also, the prices here are so so fair! I cannot wait to come back here for my future coloring and cuts!!
Melissa wasn't the only awesome one, the entire staff I interacted with was amazing and personable. I just can't remember their names.
Requested style: Last minute blow dry and curl add-on and she nailed it out of the park! Cannot wait to come back for my coloring services.
Hair type: I have alopecia and A LOT of hair but fine hair shafts. Because of the alopecia, going to the hair salon is very anxiety inducing. I never know if the stylist is going to be rough (sensitive scalp here) or not listen to my concerns. Also, because I have A LOT of fine hair, my hair does not hold any styles or curls. Idk what Melissa did, but my hair kept the curls for 3 whole days in humidity/rain.
Stylist: Melissa was amazing! She was able to fit me in within 5 minutes and absolutely blew me away with her personality. She reminds me so much of my stylist in FL that I miss so so much. I am so glad I had an emergency and ran into her!!

I got my hair recently cut & colored by Mackenzie. Highly recommend her!! She did a wonderful job & was very thorough - we discussed length and color change in depth & she provided wonderful recommendations based on her years of experience & my skin tone/face shape! I love how my hair turned out & will be returning to see Mackenzie very soon!

I wanted a blunt bob with bangs. The stylist who worked on my hair was a chatterbox. She talked and talked and cut a lot of my hair out. If I wanted a pixie cut, I would have told her. This hairstyle, I don’t like it. It is too poufy and doesn’t suit me at all. I am to embarrassed to show up to work tomorrow.

Went in as first time customer. Tammy cut my hair. The haircut was fine.When Tammy washed my hair she was scrubbing my scalp deeply with her very long fingernails. It was painful and When I realized what she was doing I had her stop. Then she finished the wash using the palms of her hands.1. My scalp actually feels bruised and is swollen on many areas still , 3 days later.2. I wonder what she is spreading from person to person’s scalp. What is collected under those long nails?3. I question if she can even give a normal/regular hair washing given the length of her nails.
