Went in as first time customer. Tammy cut my hair. The haircut was fine.When Tammy washed my hair she was scrubbing my scalp deeply with her very long fingernails. It was painful and When I realized what she was doing I had her stop. Then she finished the wash using the palms of her hands.1. My scalp actually feels bruised and is swollen on many areas still , 3 days later.2. I wonder what she is spreading from person to person’s scalp. What is collected under those long nails?3. I question if she can even give a normal/regular hair washing given the length of her nails.

I want to leave BIG 0 star! I am writing to share my family's disappointing experience at your establishment, which we visited on a recent day. Despite having an appointment, we were made to wait for an extended period of twenty minutes, a situation that was further exacerbated by witnessing a walk-in patron being prioritized ahead of us.The disregard for our appointment time could have been considered an unfortunate lapse or oversight. However, the discernible favoritism shown to another customer who arrived after us, coupled with the blatant disregard for our presence, has left us with a bitter impression. We couldn't help but feel a strong sense of discrimination, which is unacceptable.The individual on duty displayed a terrible attitude, ignoring our inquiries and not providing the minimum standard of customer service that any visitor would expect. This behavior has led us to question the values and ethics of your establishment. Are these the standards that your business promotes? If not, we sincerely hope you will address this issue promptly.In today's multicultural society, it is critical for businesses to treat everyone equally and with respect, regardless of their background or appearance. We visited your establishment with the hope of a pleasant experience, but instead, we left feeling unwanted and marginalized.The service we received was not just subpar, but it also veered into the realm of discriminatory practice. We genuinely hope that our feedback will result in improved service for all future customers, so that no one else will have to experience what we went through.

It looks like a sorority house bathroom. There are blow dryers causually tossed every which way. Just sitting in sinks waiting to shock someone. I had to wait for a chair to open up when I had an appointment. But, there were heaps of towels in chairs. I saw a stylist open a back room door and there were piles of towels on the floor. I can only imagine one was a clean pile and the other a dirty pile. But it didn't give the impression of cleanliness at all. The manager Nancy was rude to her employees and customers alike. She was very condescending to an employee who was foreign and it was obvious english wasn't her first language. I saw this same manager take a bottle of conditioner to the discarded towel room and "top off" a bottle of conditioner with the faucet. I'll never go back to this establishment again. I think I'll save myself the money and go to a Cost Cutters or Sam's. Truly a terrible experience. That was just the social experience. The service provided would have been an embarrassment for a student.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Just wanted to give a shout out to City Image Salon. I do not give reviews much unless deserving. My second time in here, first time with Ysia, she did a great job, however I needed to reschedule so I was set up with Nancy and was very pleased with the outcome. Particularly with the cleanliness of the salon, professionalism and her attention to detail! Thank you Nancy and City Image Salon. You have earned my business and I of course will be back! Been getting haircuts from Aysia for years, staff is always kind welcoming and attentive. From covid times to now its worth going out of the way to travel get a amazing cut from truly amazing stylists. I've gotten some questionable haircuts never from here. Lesson learned. Stick with Aysia, or anyone else they are all top tier at thier craft!

I went there once and never again.Customer service - I made a 5pm appointment via text message and was not told any other details other than the appointment was set for 5pm. Showed up and was not acknowledged by any of the stylists even though they walked past multiple times. As a first time customer, I'm super confused because then another guy walks in and a stylist tells him to "come on back" without acknowledging me at all... They all look super busy so I'm not gonna go and walk over to their stations and invade their work space. So I think I'll give them 30 minutes to even notice my existence and if they don't then I'll just leave.A little advice for business - maybe get a check in process. Notice each customer, ask them if they have an appointment or a walk in, and then assure them they will be taken care of. I mean even Great Clips has a system.So I wait 20 minutes and I finally get seated. I show the stylist 3 different pictures of what I want as well as an explanation. She washes my hair and then takes only about 15 minutes of working on my wet hair ... Which is a super short amount of time... Then proceeds to dry it. I notice it's still a bit 1-dimensional so I ask for a bit more layers. She doesn't seem to understand what I want so I just accept it as is. The style I asked for was light and bouncy at the top with many layers. Hair that is fluffy and doesn't weigh down. When she was done with it, it was still very bottom heavy so everytime I dry it and let it settle it just weighs down my hair and makes it flat at the top. In fact it was more bottom heavy than it was before, and my last haircut I just did it myself. I would hope a hairstylist would do a better job. I thought maybe I just had that straight from the salon regret so I waited a week and I still hate my hair. I'm gonna take scissors and fix it soon.Services: Haircut

Kimberly did a partial foil on my hair today - turned out lovely. The staff here is friendly, informative, and good at what they do. 5/5, highly recommended.
