Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization that provides nutritionally complete meals for malnourished children around the world. Donations from people fund the meal ingredients, and volunteers hand-pack the meals, which are then donated to FMSC food partners globally. Volunteers describe FMSC as the "best, most supportive, and most gracious help" they have experienced, and it is considered a life-changing experience for both volunteers and their families. The organization is described as "Holy Spirit inspired," making the packing process fun and joyful. Volunteers are encouraged to donate money to continue supporting the cause. While some volunteers have enjoyed their experience, others have found it to be too loud, causing migraines and sensory issues. Additionally, some have felt that the organization pushed too hard for additional donations, with the packing process taking only about 40 minutes, but the sales pitches lasting around 30 minutes, keeping volunteers and their children late on a school night. Overall, Feed My Starving Children is praised for its mission and impact, but some volunteers have had mixed experiences with the organization's approach.
Took my grandsons there to volunteer to pack meals for less fortunate kids in other countries. A great experience. Net caps worn by all. Opportunities to give but no pressure. Gift shop that supports their work.
