I was recently looking for a new shop to service my wife's car. I brought it in for brakes and a few other things. James went above and beyond to make sure the car was taking care of and figure out what was causing the problems she was having. They take pictures of everything before they fix it to make sure that it is what we want to do so there are no surprises. I recommend Honest 1 to anyone looking for a new shop.

As a female I always hesitant to trust many mechanics. I know lots of women are competent about cars, I’m just not one of them!I felt comfortable immediately upon walking into the shop. I can’t remember their names, but all of the guys were very personable and kind. I went to Honest Auto for an oil change and to get a second opinion on work the last place I went for an oil change insisted needed to be done. The inspection revealed none of that work actually needed to be done, glad I checked. Very reasonably priced, I will definitely be back!

I’ve been bringing my car to Honest 1 since the day I bought it! The team at the Eagan West store have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to service my vehicle. Great service but very overpriced. I was having oil change and some routine maintenance done and asked them to do tire exchange without checking price first. For swapping out winter tires for all season tire I was changed $188. At discount tire this is done for $88. I was shocked and when asked about it, I was told, "This is what we charge.".I posted this on 10/19/23Update on 10/20/23- Changed my rating from 1 star to 5 star. The owner reached out to me and said he is changing the price of tire change over to $109.99 going forward and provided a refund for the difference. Happy to see great costumer service and an owner that cares.Services: General repairs & maintenance

My tech was Tyler. Made an appointment, car was delivered by promised time.Went in for alignment, car drives perfectly straight.No complaints whatsoever, didn't try to sell me anything extra.Highly recommend getting the lifetime alignment, pays itself off!Thank you

Was not impressed with the run around I received about my whistling clutch. It's hard to be a woman who has a distant uncle who is a junkie mechanic, but still have to take your car in because you don't have the resources to service yourself, and then watch places like "Honest" want to give you the full flight path when in fact you know it could be limited to roughly 3 things. Sure they take photos of the engine, but unless you really know what you're looking at, it's not that impressive. Needless to say I didn't return because I kicked myself for knowing this would happen. Out $100 for an engine cleaning (which wasn't very clean, and i have done a better job myself in the past) and a bad clutch bearing continuing to whistle because it wasn't even addressed except for "well it still engages good." Yeah.. thanks a lot for nothing. Best of luck to you.

My experience with you has been the best service I have ever had with a vehicle center for a second I was thinking I was going to be stuck 4 hours from home with no way of getting home I met Jason and he fixed my anxiety and mad it possible for my wife me and my children to make it home safe and for that I owe you the biggest thanks and my gratitude is so astronomical THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH Honest- Auto Care Eagan WestJason you are awesome and I really appreciate you!!!!!!! We really like Honest 1. James and Brandon are friendly, ethical, honest and helpful. They also give a veterans discount which we appreciate. They helped get my car back up and running after another mechanic botched an engine replacement. We won't ever go anywhere else.

Honest-1 has outstanding customer service and very friendly employees who seem to genuinely care about their customers. My favorite part was the detailed report they send of your car including pictures and explanations of what is wrong and categorizes what is of most importance to take care of. They really are looking out for their customers and prioritize safety, integrity, and satisfaction. I will definitely be a returning customer. So incredibly thankful for Honest-1 Auto Care Eagan West! My family is traveling and our water pump failed in the evening. After reading the reviews, we decided to bring our vehicle here. The shop was closed so we waited for morning and hoped they could squeeze us in so we could continue on our trip. The shop text me at 7:30 with a diagnosis and a fair quote. Work was complete by the end of the day. The staff was so friendly! If we’re ever in need, and in the area, we will definitely come back. :)Service: Auto water leak repair
