Lunds & Byerlys is the Minnesotan equivalent to Gelson's. I love a great boutique grocer and Lunds & Byerlys is on that S tier of the genre. Huge, clean, stocked to the hilt, impeccable service, and countless offerings. The meat section is absolutely loaded with any cut you can think of (and they will gladly cut to spec if requested - I was able to get a Tri Tip which is unheard of in MN) and a mountain of prepared ready-to-grill or roast options to boot. The produce section is remarkable as well and I also love the Lunds & Byerlys branded Liquor store attached. For those not in the know: Lunds & Byerlys branded Beer Cheese Soup is easily the best I have ever had and a must pick up before you leave the North Star state. I was able to get 3 for $5.00 so instead, I got 6 for $10.00. Score. I am just glad Lunds & Byerlys is a 3-hour flight away from me or I would need a second job.

My family and I were in Minneapolis for a long weekend and couldn't decide on where to go to grab a late night snack. We happened upon Lunds & Byerlys on Yelp and decided to check it out. Awesome store! Prices are on the high side, as you'd expect from a boutique grocery store, but nothing was outrageous. We wound up getting a bunch of items from the bakery case. While they won't win any awards, all the desserts we got were just what we were looking for.

I came into the liquor store yesterday for a bottle of bourbon to make some old fashioned's. At the recommendation of the liquor store employee, I headed over to the festive stand of Tattersall spirits. I asked the employee if he had tried Tattersall's rye whiskey before and he said, "Oh the port barrel aged bottle is very nice." Then I mentioned I was intending to use the booze for Old Fashioned's. To which he then immediately directed me to the pre-mixed Old Fashioned concoction that Tattersall sells. He told me it was great and didn't need anything, could be drank as is and is fantastic. At his recommendation I purchased it. Boy was that employee incorrect. The Tattersall Old Fashioned went down terribly, tasting like rubbing alcohol, with a finish similar to taking a bite out of a cinnamon candle from Wal Mart. This liquor was appalling. After 3 people tried to sample this toxic substance, we all agreed it was no good. After reaching out to the store to see what could be done to exchange the bottle or get a credit for being sold this brown, alcoholic cinnamon glade candle tasting beverage, the liquor store manager decided to argue on the phone, telling me I should have known, I could have gotten something else, they sell it so it must be me. Well that was about the least professional customer service relations I've experienced in quite some time. Carrie, the manager, is a poor excuse of a person working in a retail/customer service/liquor industry. Your employee was misleading, the product that was pitched and sold was disgusting and for both the price and the attitude of Carrie, I would recommend not purchasing any liquor other than your standard beers from this establishment. Or at the very least, if you want advice on picking something, be specific and ask for something that doesn't taste like it shouldn't, something that doesn't taste like rubbing alcohol and melted plastic and above all, don't listen to a word Carrie says unless you like the taste of the liquid at the bottom of a dumpster.

An emergency Birdie device was set off around 2:15pm on February 5th in the parking garage at your 25 University Ave., Minneapolis, MN location. Managers are refusing to look into the security cameras and contact police to investigate this incident. Someone could be in extreme danger or missing because your security team and management are not investigating! Please do something.

Thanks for the extra service and care - in the eye of the storm. I came in on Sunday and found all the items I needed. Staff was extra helpful and careful about social distancing. Other customers were quiet, polite and kept a good distance. We appreciate you now more than ever.

Today (8/20/2019) at 16:57 I presented a $1 discount coupon from a survey I had completed. The barista (Samantha) forget to apply the discount. I have the receipt and will stop by store #132 on Promenade Place (in Lunds & Byerlys) to take care of the oversight. Otherwise, the service was great!

I shop here because their produce just does not rot as quickly as produce from other grocery stores. Aside from that, I ordered a rare fruit from the produce department and they actually called back a week later to say they had located it and would likely be able to sell it. Any business that can take a request from a customer and actually call back after waiting to here from a supplier is very well run. A special thanks to Garett for the wicked awesome customer service.

We were going right by this store yesterday and needed groceries, so stopped to get some. First of all, you get a 5/5 for stocking Ripple brand pea protein ($4.99). Most stores recently discontinued carrying my favorite Bolthouse Farms pea protein. Very happy to find Ripple. However, the bag of 4 Bermuda onions we bought for $4.99 was half spoiled. Two of the onions were spoiled and it could not be seen through the bag. I think they were mishandled, perhaps frozen, to get them to do that. So a 1/5 for that. We live in Wisconsin, we aren't driving back to Eagan to return $2.50 worth of onions! Likewise the Driscoll strawberries are hard and taste like green fruit ($6.99) but the Driscoll Raspberries ($3) are fantastic as are the blueberries ($4.99).
