Lexington Pet Clinic is a wonderful clinic. I absolutely trust them to make the right calls, and their empathy is a gift to all pets, and their guardians.

Absolutely love this pet clinic. Our vet, collaborative and patient with our never-ending questions is the absolute sweetest to our anxious female GSD.

We had to bring our dog into the clinic for an emergency and they were quick to get him in. My husband was singing their praises that they were all caring, clear in explaining what was happening and coming up with a good game plan to get our dog feeling better. We always know he is in good hands when at Lexington Pet Clinic!

My bunnies Stinky and Loki have been Dr. Kizer’s patients for a couple of years now, they love her as so do I. All the staff at the clinic including Dr. Kizer are super nice and very knowledgeable. I know my bunnies are in good hands ❤️. Highly recommend this clinic!

I've taken 13 pets to this clinic over the past 8 years. I've given them so many chances (and tens of thousands of dollars) because my initial experience seemed great. Don't be fooled by the glowing reviews. This clinic seems great on the surface but will place your pets at grave risk of irreversible harm and then treat you rudely afterward.Note that the pets I have are all rescues, most elderly or with pre-existing medical conditions that caused their rescue facilities to consider them unsuitable for adoption. I've spent countless hours volunteering at a local rescue facility. These animals are dear to my heart beyond what I can express. My cat saw Dr. Kizer for a senior exam with full diagnostic work and bloodwork. Just a few weeks later she was irreversibly blind because they missed that she had dangerously high blood pressure. Dr. Kizer took no responsibility for her error and defended the clinic's practice of not routinely checking senior cats' blood pressure, despite leading veterinary experts stating that doing so is critical. In general, my impression is that this clinic prefers a "wait and see" approach with potential health issues rather than encouraging clients to take preventative measures and consult with specialists elsewhere on chronic issues. That's by far the biggest reason to avoid this clinic: the standard of care. A secondary reason is their customer service, which is very poor. This starts with the practice manager, Chad Stevenson, who refuses to provide a direct phone number or email address to clients and sides with the staff when they are rude.Examples of poor service:When my cat was critically ill and needed to be humanely euthanized, Niki was rude to me about setting up a euthanasia appointment, lecturing me about policy when I asked if an appointment could be made on short notice. Other clinics that I had never visited were willing to work with me to make the appointment.Staff hounded me by phone when an issue on their end with their card reader resulted in a small charge not going through on my card. I've had appointments with the clinic multiple times most months and asked if I could cover the balance at the next appointment just one week later, and they refused, citing a policy enacted by Chad.I've forgotten about appointments several times and missed them, which I take responsibility for. Keep in mind that I have dozens of appointments every year with this clinic. I apologized each time and was assured it was not a problem. Then, with no prior notice, I was told when scheduling an appointment for an urgent issue that I was now required to prepay a $50 deposit.Angie has been rude to me multiple times, lecturing me about policy rather than making a good faith effort to help. The most recent time this happened, I asked how to contact Chad to express my frustration. Angie would not provide me a way to contact Chad directly and said I'd have to keep calling during regular business hours until he happened to be there. She would not offer me his schedule. To my surprise, Chad called me three days later, not to apologize, but to tell me my behavior was unacceptable and offer to help me switch clinics. I let him know I was already in the process of doing so.8 years, 13 pets, hundreds of appointments, tens of thousands of dollars, everything paid in full and up front, and I'm treated like a deadbeat. This is how this clinic treats its most loyal customers. This isn't even getting into questionable ethical practices like forcing clients to fill expensive prescription food orders through their online store (they refused to provide a prescription to Chewy for me) or overcharging for critical medicine that must be administered at the clinic. After paying $100/mo for many months for a maintenance medicine for my elderly cat and being told this was the clinic's "actual cost" with no technician fee, my new clinic expressed surprise at that price while informing me they charge $75 for the same medicine. To put it simply, please d

The techs and Vets ( and front desk!) are very nice and take the time to answer your questions and make your dogs feel more at ease. They are very empathetic and go out of their way to provide excellent customer service from the time you check your pup in til you leave. I can't say enough good things about these people- they really care!…4 years later and I still love these people. So helpful when you are stressed! Thank you for all you do!!!
