Prime Therapeutics is denying me coverage for an FDA approved medication, prescribed by a specialist, and it is a medication that has worked beautifully for me in the past. So instead, they force me to use sub standard medicine, see another doctor, get another prior authorization after using the other med, and in the end costing the entire healthcare system more, not less. This business puts profit above healthcare of their paying members.

Update: Called in to arrange shipments. It verified both medications. In reality, it sent me the thing I didn't urgently need while failing to send the shot I need. For what it's worth, the website FINALLY allowed me to order, but it didn't have appropriate opt out options for invasive questions. So my treatment is late for medicine I need to establish prior to surgery to avoid agonising recovery, all because of failure of the automated system or some ignorant manual override. Again, experience gets WORSE. At least the prior system allowed simple opt-out, not to mention the year of inability to order online at all. Yet again the patient gets worsening service.

Prime Therapeutics, the Pharmacy Reviewer for BCBS, has reviewed my doctor's request for A CHILD'S INHALER and DENIED it.
The US Healthcare system is a dystopian hell of denials and overpaid claim review companies that do nothing but run interference for health insurers. IT IS AN INHALER FOR AN ASTHMATIC CHILD, why on earth would this ever be denied?!?

FLORIDA Blue needs to fire you immediately, This is absolutely ridiculous. You were trying to force me to go into a higher medication than my doctor has prescribed or else you cut me off completely.

Deny! Deny! Deny! ZERO STARS!!!
Medications I have been on for years are being denied for the first time in 2025. This company is the worst. PBMs should be illegal ad they dictate medical care without a license and without even seeing or contacting the patients (except for those denial letters).

This might as well be a Amish pharmacy. They only send docs via fax and mail. Medication takes forever because it arrives on horse and buggy. It's not the 1600s, we have internet and overnight shipping now.

I can't get the medications I need to funtion and be alive because apparently I suddenly don't qualify anymore. I've been fighting them for 4 weeks on this decision with several prior authorizations stating that I need this medication to function and all have been declined. My body is deteriorating and im barely functioning enough to write this review, so thank you for your wrongful decisions to keep more money in your pockets.

Speaking with Prime Therapeutics demonstrated what a professional
Company should look and act like. The representatives I spoke with were absolutely wonderful, especially Diamond, who worked tirelessly to resolve my issue. I highly recommend them.

Nice to have a disruptive PBM in the market.

Let's begin with seeing my primary care doctor on Jan 5th...Blood work returns by the 12th.. Doctor sends prescription and then the mess begins. Chaotic processes and lack of organization within their processes took me out to Jan 24tth of recieving their denial(Only bc I called to check). So, now I'm being treated by Prime Therapeutics and will hold them accountable should I find my condition worsened between that time (my eyesight has worsened) and if it worsens or doesn't improve with the medication doctors no longer really prescribe because of the severe side effects along with a medication that will actually make you gain weight - worsening my current medical diagnosis.I'm assuming Im unable to schedule my follow up appointment with Prime Therapeutics whom know nothing about me, other than chart notes, but knew enough to treat me and decide what was best for my medical issue.I'm just glad I do what I do for a living because this isn't going to be swept under the rug.

My experience with Prime Therapeutics has been awful. Even though I've been on my medication for over 5 years, Prime Therapeutics did everything they could to delay sending my medication, including bothering the doctor with basic questions about my prescription before they'd fill it and even trying to decrease the quantity (as I said, even though I've been on this quantity for a long time). In the future, I will avoid Prime Therapeutics like the plague.

Prime Therapeutics tangled with Walgreens for me to handle a retro billing issue and was extremely supportive, especially compared to Walgreens and my old insurance.

Worst PBM in the country. Always denying medications for patients who are in need of them. Only worried about lining their own pockets with more money. Corporate greedy company!
