Usually good service and nice workers. You gotta know what you’re using and coming in for before you rent anything. Don’t rent blindly.

Mixed feelings - we bought our first house and have been painting a lot. Went to go paint the cabinets, even brought one face in and mentioned to the paint person I was going to use deglosser (satin finished wood) she stated that I didn't need to and primer and paint would be fine. You can imagine how I felt after the first tester peeled under my findernail. Thankfully I had some deglosser on hand but imagine if I'd done them all and they peeled. We have also had several plumbing questions and the foreign guy is super rude and always trying to upsell us or telling us we have to fully replace things that we don't. These folks don't know what they're doing. Losing trust here and am going to find another location.

Been coming here since a kid for supplies 30 now. Todays customer service was all it took for me to go to Lowe's or menards now. Go to cash register the two employees decided they needed to finish there non work related conversation before starting to check me out. Went to the rental department grabbed a steam cleaner took it to the desk the guy behind desk stated can you not read..... excuse me.... He stated again can you not read I look at the tag it states do not rent. I go okayyyyy so you do you have another, NO. We have one for sale. Ok I'll go check that out. ITS FOR SALE he states again louder I STATE YES I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME. And walked out.

Poor customer service at this location as usual. I guess if an item doesn't have a bar code on it you might as well leave it at the register because the employees are too lazy to figure out.

Do not order appliances from here because the company they use for delivery is an absolute joke. Not sure when or if I’ll ever receive my refrigerator!!

Was applying for a job and was given the run around by Elaine in HR saying that I was on the hiring list. I have talked to Elaine 3-4 times being told she would put me on the requisition list since I am to be offered a job. The job offer has never gone through and I get noticing but automated messages with no results.

If you are planning on ordering CABINETS from Home Depot- consider this: 1) they have a wait time for orders to be filled of At least 12+ WEEKS. That is for the cabinets to come in. If you hate them for install, that's another 6 weeks. (As of April 2022) 2) if you begin your cabinet order, they require $109 charge of having their subcontractor come out to measure your kitchen. You will NOT have rights to those measurements (unless you are home and follow the movements of the subcontractor and measure the same walls as he/she does with your own tape. They do this to PREVENT you from shopping around to compare rates or timelines. Had I known that this I would NOT have wasted my time. 3) cost. A 115" x 113" Kitchen of mid-range cabinets will cost $16,000-20,000! At that price, you might as well go to a custom cabinet maker if you want to spend that much. If not, go to onlinecabinetsdirect.com or cabinets.com and they will design your kitchen for at least HALF that price and HALF the wait time. Skip home depot. Staff is nice. Prices and service overrated.

Truly terrible customer service. I had been trying to rent the 4” Bluebird Wood Chipper for weeks after being told it was out of service because it was getting new blades. I called again today and they said it was all ready to go now.I arrived to rent the chipper and was first told that it actually won’t chip 4” pieces, and that it was actually 4” circumference instead but that it’ll only do closer to 3” rather anyways. That was only the beginning of oddities to come...So, I rent their flatbread truck to transport the chipper and I head home. Once I get the chipper down my giant hill in my backyard I start it up and test a 1” piece to make sure it’s working safely. It didn’t even feed that in to chip. I thought maybe it was too small so tried a little bit bigger piece. Nope. It’s just shredding the branch into super stringy long pieces and not feeding out any chips. The blades were indeed never replaced as they needed to be. I took video and photos of my operating the chipper. The worst part, after the grueling climb back up the hill , was when I arrived to let them know what happened...Edward seemed annoyed with me, like it was some kind of user error on my part, even after I attempted to show him the video. He didn’t care to see it. I was perfectly nice too. But that changed quickly...He said he’d refund the chipper but I have to pay for the truck still. I thought that was odd as I’d only rented the truck to use the chipper. He said in an irritated voice, “would you like to speak to my manager?” I said yes, and he called the manager and said loudly, “can you come down here, I got a guy who doesn’t want to pay for a truck!” This is in front of a bunch of other customers too. I was shocked. But it gets worse...Mike, the manager, then comes in treating me like some kind of scammer in front of everyone. He kept saying “I understand the chipper didn’t work but was there something wrong with the truck?!” You cant just have a free truck.”I only got the truck so I could rent the chipper and drove it the 3 short miles to my house. I tried to explain that this was a major inconvenience and I didn’t feel that I should have to pay for the truck rental because they gave me something they already knew was faulty and didn’t fix. He wasn’t having it but offered to take half the fee off. I said no and asked to speak to his manager. He said I couldn’t because he wasn’t there. I just decided to leave, baffled at that point, as we were not getting anywhere. At no point did they care about, or acknowledge my inconvenience through this, they just wanted to make sure they got that truck money while trying to make me look like some scammy disgruntled customer. Truly unbelievable customer service.

We have had good luck and good service for 19 years at the Eagan location. Major purchases: complete bathroom remodel, major kitchen remodel, windows, floors, doors, major appliances; garden stuff for years. Love this store. Our granite laser measurement and install was so precise it was unbelievable; way better than expected. I'm glad the store is close to us!

Been waiting over a week for a refund kept being told it was not ready, my wife called today and they said to come in a get it. Well the lady told her that the refund had been sitting there for a week and that she had sent it in the mail yesterday even though she called yesterday and was told it was not ready. Now we have to wait up to 21 days to see if we even get a check.
