Typically I have my maintenance/service done through a competitor, but decided to take my car to Midas Eden Prairie for my transmission fluid change due to a schedule change in my life. I worked with Gary at dropoff and pickup. He was great for the most part. However it seemed as though he was annoyed at my questions when reviewing the oil leak they found as I was having trouble seeing what they saw when they did their inspection. They also stated that my oil was overfilled at my oil change in January, highly unlikely as it was done at the competitor who has done all of my oil changes and has now won my trust as a lifelong customer.....on top of that my oil level is still too high tonight hours after my appointment. The icing on the cake? When they told me my TPMS light was on, which it 100% was NOT on when I dropp my car off....NO dash lights were on. They took the time to take pictures of my license plate even though it wasn't a point of concern, why not take the time to get a picture of my TPMS light on? My coolent was low (no photo), as was my brake fluid (photo). They took pictures of the oil leak though. The differentials were marked as needing action, with front being yellow (due soon) and rear in red(action now), which I couldn't recall going over at checkout. I called and spoke with Gary the following day to ask about the differentials and oil level. In regards to the differentials, Gary told me both differentials should have been in yellow and the tech marked it wrong, adding that it's fine until 90,000 miles (I'm at 73xxx). I asked why it's marked as needs action if they're not due for over 15,000 miles and I can't remember the exact reply, but it was along the lines of "it's coming up soon." I also inquired if they drained the oil with it being overfull. Gary wasn't sure if it was drained and the tech wasn't in yesterday. I asked if it was procedure to try and drain excess oil and Gary gave an answer indicating there was no procedure. I then asked what I'm supposed to do for the overfull oil? Knowing it's overfull does me no good.....if the mechanics can't drain it why make a big deal of it and make it sound like an issue? Gary said he would ask the tech this morning and me back. He also offered to provide a free oil change which I declined at the time. It's now 12:43pm and no call. I hate to say it, but it's gone down hill since the previous owner/franchise manager, Sandie, passed away and management changed. Photos: my report showing action needed, oil leak, overfilled oil

I've been a Midas customer since 2010 but with all the changes this past year and now the only good tech KC leaving, I will never return. Gary sells you stuff you don't need and is not friendly. Midas has officially lost me as a customer

Was quoted one price ($60) for full synthetic oil change. Checkout time, even with coupon was $100. Tried to 'add on' an oil pan drain plug. Said no to it. Checked with my dealership, that's what ford has been using since 2015. It just needed a little extra tightening. Will stay far away from here especially since Gary works there now.

Any custom on ur car would not recommend them. Basic easy fixes bring it to them.

The last few times I have made appointments each experience gets worse overall; I always arrive 5-10 min before my appointment and upon entering there usually isn’t anyone at the desk to greet customers but plenty of people chatting in the back which honestly just makes it a bad first impression off the bat. I also have had to walk up and ask why other customers cars have been taken back for service before mine when I had an appointment and arrived before they had. The negligence and poor customer service did not sit well with me, so I would not recommend having work done here unless you’re desperate.

If you decide to do business with them, I would recommend actually watching the technician rotate your tires. I’ve gotten my oil changed here twice and a mechanic informed me they never rotated my tires.
