I bought a “hamster” cage online to come pick up at this Petco yesterday, it was the only store that had it available so I drove the extra miles to this store. Once I get there, excited to get my new hamster, the employee says “by the way although we sell these & advertise them for hamsters, you can’t keep hamsters in these.” They proceeded to say they wouldn’t allow me to get any hamster with that cage, THEN the “manager” states that I AM able to house small breed hamsters in the cage. Why didn’t they just state that from the beginning? What an absolutely ridiculous visit.

I brought my pup in for a vaccine at one of your vetco clinics at your Eden prairie location. The four vetco employees I encountered were great——my pup was a bit scared and they were very gentle with her. And the cashier who checked me out after the appt, was delightful. Pavlina was as sweet as she could be and finished my already pleasant experience on a great note. I encountered one other employee on my way up to the checkouts and he was also very friendly and made me feel very welcome as I walked by him. Thank you for the great experience.

I was in with my son the other day and had the pleasure of working with Amarie! She was so incredibly nice and sweet and interactive with my son, it’s simply just made his night and week! She made my night and week too! What a blessing she is, you lucked out with her on your team! She is a rare and wonderful person and it has continued to warm my heart knowing that there’s people like her that exist in the world! That is how much she made an impact on us! THANK YOU AMARIE, keep shining your beautiful light!!!!

Petco is always horribly organized—and today’s experience was no different. They actually have cul de sacs so you have to reverse and try to find your way again. I’m sure someone intended to make this more of an ‘experience’ but when you’re trying to pick up an oversized bag of dog food, the only experience you want is a quick getaway. Sorry. Not a fan.

I will never, ever be back to any Petco/Vetco again, due to their inability to solve a what should be a simple problem with their "system" about my dog's vaccination records being mixed up with someone else's, and their horrible customer service, and rude employee Taeva. Vetco/Petco's lack of organization with my Vetco records and someone else's should be a simple fix, perhaps where they move the record to the right file or delete the records and create a new account or something of that nature. When I presented the problem three times in person and multiple times over the phone, I was ensured it was fixed and told they would fix it, and then when it wasn't fixed, met with zero empathy. The last event involved interacting with their employee Taeva who was condiscending as all get-out, rude, exemplified zero competence or customer service skills, and didn't show one ounce of empathy for the amount of trouble we had to go through for their "system" mixup with dog vaccination records being messed up. They offered zero solutions, empty promises up front, and wasted hours and hours of my time with nothing to say to make up for it, and no "sorry", no customer service and no empathy/sympathy. I would not recommend their Vetco service. The experience I had should be in an example training video of what to do to drive away business. I could see the other customers in line getting visibly frustrated, and when I spoke to them they couldn't believe how the employee was treating me when I kindly expressed my concern. It was one of those situations where Vetco realized there was a problem on the first visit, said they would fix it and indicated that it was fixed. We came back a second time and the problem apparently wasn't fixed, but they said it was fixed. I continued to get emails for another dog's records being sent to me. Easy fix, right? Wrong! Apparently they have no ability to change a vet record they finally admitted, so the poor woman with the dog that was on my account is not able to fill her pet's prescription or get the rest of the vaccinations without being logged into MY account. It was absolutely ridiculous through and through, and to have not even a "we apologize", nothing on the customer service end to make it right. I will NEVER be back, and I haven't said that about any other store in my life, so let that be an indicator of how bad the situation was.
