Shopping- old, torn and stained clothesSelling- they stop accepting around 10am.Overall this place is a MISS!!!First photo shows the PAINT stained leggings being sold for $12!! The second is the torn shoes being sold! While shopping I saw something USED being sold for $100!!!! Better off going to Salvation Army same quality but the prices are way lower! On my way in I saw someone heading in and they took one look at the store and walked into Clothes Mentor next door! You aren’t greeted and the place smells odd.

I dropped off 7 bags of clothes shoes and purses of all season, brand new items and they took nothing saying it’s out of season. It’s summer and I dropped off many summer items. They didn’t even go through my bags they are all just to damn lazy to actually look through the items. Don’t work here if you aren’t going to do your job.Goodwill it is, getting a great donation of clothes.

On google it says you buy clothing for "teens and young adults." Today I brought three full bags of brand-name clothing in from my daughter and most of it was size 14-16 but the lady at the counter says that you only buy clothing that was "men's and women's" sizes. I pointed out that on your google page it said teens and she just shrugged.Complete and utter waste of 15 mins that I will never get back in life.

the rudest employees you will ever meet. I brought in three bins of name brand clothes i got for my birthday that either didn't fit me, or wasn't my style. They were all up to date clothes that were very much trending. More than half of the clothes i brought in still had authentic tags on them. I brought in expensive brands, and brands specifically on their website. I even called ahead of time to make sure, and while they reassured me -- the phone call was very unpleasant. I come back a day later to collect my money and they return all three of the bins to me. Stating, quote; "You're clothes are too worn, ugly, and so last year". I was confused, because I had given them alot of authentic brands with mostly 2000s style clothing because that seemed to be the style nowadays. I even had a whole bin almost entirely full with lululemon. Even upon walking in the store, I got nasty glares and rude customer service. Don't go to this location.

I am never one to complain or even leave reviews, but this was such a frustrating situation, and upsetting. I have been bringing my items to Plato’s closet for years. And in the last two years I have been so disappointed. 3 months ago I brought in almost 6 bins of all name brand clothing, all in very nice condition, and they took about 80% of it. While I was waiting for my items to be done, I walked around the store and overheard employees talking about how they did not have enough cash to give me, and an employee responded with questioning how much she needed, and then replied. When I went to finally pick up my items, I do not think they knew I was in the store waiting. I went to collect my cash, and it was almost 170$ less than what I had heard them saying before. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful they took what they did, but it was extremely unprofessional and it made me not want to return. Fast forward - I brought in 4 bins two weeks ago, again with all name brand clothing, designer purses, 25% of the clothes still had tags on, and all pretty much bought within the last year and a half. My first issue, was that they could not offer me money until 5 days later because they did not have cash. They had me return the next day to pick it up, and it still was not ready so it was frustrating, as I work full time I do not have time to go back and fourth. My second issue, I had two bins that went completely untouched. Everything in those bins was barely moved from when I had placed them. I purposefully put my “more expensive” items on the bottoms of my bins for this exact reason, all left untouched. Super disappointing and that was my final straw for ever returning to the Eden Prairie location, and Plato’s closet in general.

Didn't even look at the things in basket, just moved around 2 items. I had some really nice items, name brand amd some high end items and most were in much better shape than the stuff I had seen on the racks, but they didn't even check whole basket. Waste of my time sorting nice clothes out and driving here.

It’s just…. Gross. Horrible selection of torn clothes and not at all what you expect from the ads

Rude employees; no communication after I dropped off a bag of clothes to sell so I stopped back about 4-5 hours later, at which point they commented "sometimes texts don't go through", and they turned the whole bag away & said I should take the items to Turnstyle Consignment. So, if you are reading this review, go elsewhere. Plato's doesn't deserve the business.

This place is a joke. The wait time ended up being 5 hours for them to sort through my 1 basket. I had many name brand items NWT from this season returned to me for some greasy haired teenagers to say it’s “not in style”. They pay less than $4 per item to only mark it up by 500%. Don’t waste your time.

Extremely disappointed in this location. Brought in a huge selection of ALL name brand jeans/shorts & and shirts. One large tote and one medium size bag that were both filled to the top. Some of my things still had tags on them! I was told that they couldn’t take anything because my clothes were too old. Biggest joke I’ve ever heard, considering I could go online and pull up the exact pair of jeans still on the stores app, that I was trying sell today. I chose to bring my name brand jeans here because I removed the tags after buying them, couldn’t find the receipt and had no reason to keep them. I also noticed that my clothes seemed to be in the same exact order and positions that I placed them in when I dropped them off. Which leads me to wonder if my clothes were really even gone through? Thank you for reminding me WHY I stopped bringing my clothes here. (:

0 stars0 StarsDoesn't accept buys some days...short staffed? Brought name brand items, Abercrombie jeans, multiple. Levi shirts. Flannels. They say they want fall items and promote a bonus for bringing fall items in. Yet they don't accept any name brand jeans or "fall clothing." They gave $31 to my partner...who had a whole bag less. Not even worth giving business, to these minimum wage teenagers. Respectfully, it's all based on if they want it in the store or not. Nothing is based off brand or condition.

Don’t waste your time. Store purchased only 3 items hardly claiming overstocks, don’t claim to be buying then and waste customers time. My items were also handled very carelessly, thrown back in the bag in a massive mess. Disappointed and will not be returning.

The clothing selection is bad. Everything is off brand or cheap clothes. Found one pair of shorts that was name brand. Everything else is from like shein. Go to clothes mentor next door... The lady who works there clearly has better taste.
