This year they did not contact us (as they did in past years) for our dogs annual teeth cleaning (that we pay the monthly premium rate) when we contacted them they did not honor last years teeth cleaning and are making us use this years. To make it worse the Edina Clinic Manager avoided all telephone calls and in person visits. I would not recommend.

I had to give a star in order for this review to be posted... but I give Zero stars. Zero. ZERO!Completely focused on business with zero compassion for you or your pet when he unexpectedly dies in their care. Literally 2 weeks after my pet unexpectedly died, my $2600+bill was sent to collections. 14 days. They can't even tell me where this practice of sending the bill to collections is written. No grieving period allowed apparently or even a conversation about making a deposit. Not paid by 6:00pm and it goes to collections. Not to even mention the year long wellness plan that I started 2 days before the surgery that killed my dog. They will not allow me to get out of the year long contract without paying the remainder of the plan which would be almost $1000. My dog was alive for 2 days under this plan. He will not receive most of what’s included, yet they won’t stop monthly payments. Ridiculous. This company is run by heartless, insensitive bullies focused on money...Even the vet agreed that there were problems with the care that I had serious concerns about... the negligence was just overlooked and the bill had to be paid in full. Even the tech that left a message on my voicemail said that she didn't think I should have to pay for it because of what happened. Even the vet said my dog's death is changing how they do their surgeries... to me, they are admitting negligence... I was told the surgery was a success at 3:00 and to pick him up at 5:00. At 4:45, while I was on my way to pick him up, I was called and told he was going into shock and I needed to get there soon. They didn't have what they needed to care for my dog so they sent me to pick him up from the clinic to transport him in critical condition to the emergency hospital in rush hour traffic. I literally watched the techs dump my poor sweet dog in critical condition in the backseat of my car. There was zero care in how they handled placing him in my car. ZERO! I was told the emergency hospital would be waiting for me with a stretcher when I drove up. I have no idea how I even made it to the hospital, I was so distraught. When I got there, no one was waiting for me. When I went in, they didn't know who I was and by the time someone got to my car, my dog had no heartbeat. It was the worst day of my life.Do not EVER go to Banfield in Edina if you have any serious medical care needed. They'll only care about the bill when your beloved pet is in need of care. The MANAGER (Allie) is literally the worst. Heartless. The fact that I can't even contact her supervisor is ridiculous as well. I can't even get an email address, let alone a phone number to directly contact the manager's supervisor.

Dr. Reinhart was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and caring for my pup! Her assistants were just as amazing as her also! The lady working the front desk was also amazing! I was so worried about trying a new vet but they made me feel like I was at home. Will be back and will tell people to go there! Thanks for everything!

Don’t go to Banfield! They punctured our dogs ear drum and won’t take responsibility for their actions, in fact they are ignoring us. Our dog has been suffering ever since and that has been for a number of months now. They are just a high volume vet with little to no empathy for their clients and their pets.

I think the vets there are excellent and I only live a couple of blocks from their office. However, every time I call there, I get put on "Hold" for at least 15 minutes, so I don't go there anymore. It's too frustrating trying trying to get an appointment. The front desk people are ruining what used to be a great business.

Love this place. They are always able to fit us in within 24 hours. Very friendly staff, genuine and knowledgeable doctors, and some great coverage options with affordable monthly payments.

Way overpriced. Signed a paper approving a treatment then was charged hundreds more without any consulting. Then took multiple requests to get a tag for rabies and was told by the tech she never got that shot, so who knows what to trust. Never again. Find a place that won't take advantage of you!!!

We took our cat to the Edina MN location for a check-up and her rabies/distemper shots. She also needed some matts cut out of her fur and her toenails clipped. We were given an estimate of $500. By the time all was said and done (with an additional $100 charge for an arthritis shot), the cost was just shy of $1,000. There is no communication among staff members - i.e. we were told her rabies tag would come out with her, when they brought her out, no tag because they said she hadn't gotten the shot. Then they backtracked and said she did get it and gave us the tag. They told us that when we put her in the carrier to go to the vet, she tore one of her nails and it had to be removed (it will grow back). Then another person said it was 2 nails that were torn and removed. So who knows what care she actually got. Squirt is 13 years old and we've had her since we adopted her at the age of 3 months, so she's family. We will NOT be taking her or Jingles (our other cat) to them for anything.

My last 3 visits have been progressively worse. The final straw was an invasive unnecessary procedure done on my dog without my prior knowledge—then blaming me for not asking questions when I dropped my dog off. One employee told me I should have asked to talk to one of the vet assistants instead of the receptionist because “the receptionists don’t know what we do in back”. So am I supposed to ask the job title and qualifications of every employee I interact with? When I disputed the charge, they said I needed to pay before taking my dog and if I refused to pay, my bill would be “immediately turned over to collections”.One star only because it won’t let me leave zero

Highly professional and caring staff, this 24/7/365 pet clinic and hospital told us the needs our dog had and the cost, too.

If you want to sign up for impersonal service, vets who don't know why you are coming in for a visit, a business model based on volume and care that actually harms your pet -- this pet hospital is for you. My dog was given a treatment that partially ruptured her ear drum -- which was diagnosed by another vet -- and they will take no responsibility for it. I am only asking to be reimbursed for the visit that was in question and also let me out of my wellness plan, since I have no intention of having my dog seen again by this clinic. Trying to cancel your wellness plan gets you into a circle of being told that no one has the ability, intention or inclination to even listen to why you might want to cancel. Avoid this clinic and Banfield if you care about your pet and their health. Also, look up their reviews on the Better Business Bureau.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you will get adequate or professional care for your pet by choosing this clinic. And certainly don't sign up for their wellness plan, which makes you feel like you are getting a good deal when really you are just betting sub-standard care. My dog was treated for an ear infection and ended up with a ruptured ear drum (diagnosed by another vet) and they will not take any responsibility for it. And trying to get your wellness plan cancelled is a waste of time. They don't care. They don't care about your experience or your pet -- they just care about a recurring revenue business model. I feel sorry for the vets who practice at these clinics -- they have no time to provide effective care. Avoid at all costs.
