Dirty dirty store. Clumps of dirt and dust bunnies everywhere.. bathroom was disgusting . I thought maybe they were going out of business and were just letting things slide . But no.. I asked the cashier . Just awful never seen such a dirty store.

I am amazed that Joann Fabric can remain in business given the history of poor reviews stretching back over many years with most echoing similar complaints. Two and one half stars on Yelp is bad given the fact that many Yelp reviewers seem incapable of giving less than four stars for even the worst goods and services. I have been to Joann's several times recently and the store looks like the photos one sees after some natural disaster. Shelves are unstocked, opened and unopened boxes are scattered on the floor, no staff are available, and so on. On every trip I have been to Joann's with my wife we have left without buying anything because we couldn't find what we needed. But with undying optimism for the future we return. After shopping at Joann's an anti-depressant seems appropriate and yet customers return. I guess I am missing something.

Wow. Empty shelves. Dirty and gross. Worst bathrooms I have ever experienced.

Whether you’re a seasoned sewer, a scrapbooking enthusiast, or someone exploring a new hobby, there’s something here for everyone. The fabric section is a standout, boasting an array of materials ranging from luxurious upholstery fabrics to charming quilting squares. I also browsed through their impressive collections of yarns, beads, and craft kits, which are thoughtfully organized and easy to navigate. What really sets Jo-Ann’s apart is its spacious and well-planned layout. The aisles are wide, making shopping with a cart or in a group comfortable and hassle-free. I also appreciated the well-lit and inviting atmosphere, which made my shopping experience even more enjoyable. Moreover, the ample parking available is a huge plus. I had no trouble finding a spot close to the entrance, which is especially convenient for those days when you’re picking up bulky items or multiple supplies. The staff deserves a special mention too. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help, whether it was offering advice on a project or assisting in finding a specific item.

Helpful friendly staff, and willing to refer us another location to secure difficult polar fleece cow material. Also delighted to see that sales have been extended and applied a weekdays instead of just the weekend now! The downside of the visit was visiting the bathroom, which was beyond filthy, and had a pungent septic smell. The sinks were also caked in filth, and appeared to be covered in mold . Brought this to the attention of the staff, who were already aware of the problem and said that they could not get a cleaning crew to take care of the issue. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Janis and team were incredible for a bulk order I had. A pleasure to work with, very kind and prompt, and they executed so well. Went above and beyond to meet our 300 cuts of fabric for 150 no sew tie blankets of a custom size. Hand cut and made with care. So grateful to this team!

The men’s bathroom at this Joanna fabric store in Edina, MN is the most unhealthy, unsanitary, disgusting and awfully smelling bathroom I have ever stepped into in my entire life, hands down. You cannot enter without stuffing your nose into your shirt to survive the rotten piss smell that has been lingering in there for years. The toilet seat likely has Ebola virus on it, the urinal is clogged and always is, with moldy piss brewing into a concoction of viral outbreak and you would likely catch an infection by touching the very sink your supposed to use to wash your hands. This place should be shut down by the health department.

I asked the cashier, wearing the face visor, if I could get some help. I waited by her register for 5 minutes, then asked if she’d called somebody. In a very snooty tone, she mumbled something about meeting her in a certain aisle. I explained to her that I was deaf in one ear and she couldn’t be understood with the visor on. When it came time to check out, she then took her sweet time arranging something while I stood there and waited. She seems very unhappy and is a bad employee who gives the store a bad vibe.

This looks like a smaller Jo-Ann Fabrics but it was in a nice location and very easy to get to

Per usual, waiting in line. Why they don't install self checkout is beyond me. Would not want to be a shareholder

I've stopped at this Joann locations a few times now and they've all been "meh". My most recent visit has solidified that I won't be returning to this location.I have never grabbed a number for the fabric counter at this location before - everyone just waits in line (like a lot of people normally would). Someone who had later walked up behind me had grabbed number 1, and before the ticker rung up "number 1", I had already walked up to the counter. The older employee said "you need to get a number next time because you're not next in line". I apologized and had mentioned I made an online order but that it was not complete yet for in-store pick-up. She was snarky in asking "you're not expecting to wait for the order are you? Because it's going to take at least 4-5 hours". I ordered 1 yard of fabric, and other Joann locations have always been able to complete orders within 1-2 hours.Honestly, this experience and store has put a sour taste in my mouth. I added a star since not every experience has been this negative - I've found that the store may be understaffed and staff often doesn't know where things are that I'm looking for.

The Edina JoAnn staff are professional, knowledgeable and smile! - They listen and problem solve. - A good selection of fabric from cotton, apparel, denim, knits, tulle, fleece, flannel, home dec, outdoor, canvas, duck cloth, etc. - They also have batting (cotton & poly), foam (1-5"), pillow forms, yarn, sewing and quilting notions, storage solutions, buttons, jewelry making, scissors, sewing machines, card crafting paper $ supplies, etc. - their picture framing department is very good. My piece was done 7 days prior to quote. I was so pleased.
