I’ve never been uncomfortable in a retail store until my recent experience at this specific Madewell location. I brought in a few orders to return because sizing is all over the place at Madewell and an employee reluctantly helped me. You could tell right away she was irritated. I’m not sure if that’s how she is as a person but the constant dirty looks and scoffing sure got old as she returned the clothes. I tried to salvage the uncomfortable situation by being overly nice and chatty however she didn’t respond or care about what I had to say. Is it just me or has customer service in retail stores gone completely downhill in the past decade? If it seems like you’re even a little difficult, retail employees like give up trying to do their job, which is to be kind and helpful to customers. This lady had a bad attitude you could tell she hated her life and took it out on anyone who made her life a little more stressful. She ruined my entire in-store experience from then on and I used to love Madewell. Now sadly I don’t find it that appealing anymore. Steer clear of this employee if possible. She has permanent RBF, stick straight bangs and thin blondish hair, also wore jeans that were way too tight. Actually try to avoid this location altogether. Go to Galleria across the street, they are more welcoming and nice, or do your shopping online.

Steer clear of this store unless you don't want to make returns Ever. I brought returns in into this location a few different times because I order a lot of different sizes so I inevitably return some. I'm not sure if she's an associate or manager, but this lady with bad bangs and a poor attitude helped me one time only to act completely unprofessional and irritated the entire time like this isn't part of her job to return things. I came back to this same location again and all she did was continue to ignore me and give dirty looks behind my back which felt a bit immature for her age. I'm pretty sure she also complained about me to her superior even though I've done nothing but try to be the nice one in every situation. I've also spent thousands of dollars at Madewell but now I don't find the store very appealing due to its choice of employees. This isn't high school people, this is a retail store. if you can't handle a little stress then you need to find a new job and a better hair stylist. All the other locations are good but I'd rather shop online. The clothes are also doing downhill as far as quality since they are choosing to outsource more.

I just got a new job and was struggling to find work pants to accommodate the uniform requirements. I was convinced there was nothing in the store that could accommodate my new, larger size. Cleo asked me to give two items a shot, and they could not have been more right. Left with a pair of jeans, Cleo made sure to remind me to bring in an old pair of jeans to receive $50 discount which is huge. I am so glad I went into this store today. What a positive experience. I cannot thank Cleo enough. Visit this location, ask for help and be open to trying new things.

let me preface this review with that I LOVE madewell and am an avid customer there. I was at the Southdale location where I was eager to trade in a pair of jeans for the recycle program and buy more clothing. I was met by 3 female employees giggling at the front desk (none working the floor with other customers). Then, all 3 proceeded to try on clothes and were in and out of fitting rooms, completely ignoring the many customers who were clearly looking for assistance. When I was ready to check out, I had to wait for one of these employees to finish admiring her colleague's new try on to be checked out. This was by far the WORST experience I have had not only at Madewell but at a retail store. Do better.

My experience at this store last week was bizarre. The 3 young women who were working here all passed by me entering and leaving the store and never once acknowledged me. No greeting at all. I didn't see other customer's being greeted either. Customer service here could use some work.Aside from that, the store at least seemed to have good inventory. I will continue to shop online if I want clothing from Madewell.

I had purchased my first jeans from madewell in December and I did love them! About 2 months later my coworker pointed out a 4.5” rip in the butt. I was so upset. I came in and Carmen helped me out. My original pair had been discontinued. She helped me with several different styles and was able to exchange them for.

A young sales associate named Sara helped me shop for jeans. She was SO patient with my incessant questions and joyfully helped me figure out the sizing & fit I needed. I must have tried on 926 pairs of jeans before I found the ones I loved. Sara was a godsend!I looooove the Madewell brand but have never bought anything brand new from the store (all my Madewell stuff is secondhand). It’s hard to want to cough up that much money for clothing, BUT the quality of everything I’ve owned is exquisite!!

I'm not having a great experience with Madewell. I ordered a pair of sneakers 12/21/19. However I realized the holiday would be coming and delivering packages would be a hassle with all stores. I was told yesterday via email the sneakers will arrive at the store in a few days. I was certainly not satisfied with the answer so I decided I would call. The agent was friendly, service was ok but now the date for delivery to the store will be Jan 6, 2020. This is my first and last time ordering from this store. Sometimes it doesn't pay to try new stores this is unacceptable. Thanks Madewell for all your service.
