An incredible evening at one of the best steakhouses around. Went for my daughters birthday and from the second we walked in until we left everything was on point. At the start, almost everyone from the host to the busser wished happy birthdays upon my daughter as if they were old friends. Kids all ordered a Shirley temple, and the birthday girl got an incredible upgrade (pictured) with dry ice and palm leaves and like 10 cherries. My old fashioned was excellent and honestly a great value, drank it throughout the whole meal easily. Only weird thing here is they apparently intentionally don't put a cherry into the old fashioned - something I've not seen before - but we're happy to provide them upon my request.Nikki, our server, was exceptional the whole time. Great conversation, able to have fun and laugh with us. We really appreciated her attention to our table throughout which was the perfect balance of there without being intrusive while we chatted.Food order was filet mignon of course for most of us, and 2 of us took Nikkis advice and got the surf and turf which upgraded the meal with two scallops. Steaks were ofcourse exceptional, great bark and perfect inside. Scallops were good, but we thought the Bernaise was kinda out of place on them. Maybe it could have been served on the side? Not a deal breaker but something to consider. My son got a steak salad, which he orders everywhere, and it looked and apparently ate fantastically. He devoured it. We also got sides of asparagus with hollandaise, grown up mac, and mushrooms. All fantastic, the mushrooms for an individual portion were monstrous and able to he shared easily. Other sides were great, asparagus was awesome and huge!End of the meal came, and Nikki comes out with a giant placing of chocolate lava cake, and Happy Birthday wishes across the whole thing. Kids devoured it like vultures and said it was amazing.Whole experience start to finish was exceptional and a true testament to Pittsburgh Blue. My wife and I had been several times, but taking the kids for the first time was magic. Not sure it could have been more perfect and kids are all saying they want to come back for their birthdays. Thank you to everyone here for such an awesome time.

Can't rate the food. Just to disgusting. The waitress was great she needs a raise. The cook needs to go back learn to cook a steak. I like mine rare. Can't stand burnt meat or burnt anything.Steak was soooo tough my friends steak was med well but his too tough to chew...looked burnt to me. The bake potato that was supposably big enough for 2 people that was a joke. It sucks when bull us 170. When nothing was good. Never ever go there.

My sister and I visited Pittsburgh Blue on my birthday. ?Everything about my experience was top notch! All aspects of service provided were 100% professional!I had a martini ?with blue cheese stuffed olives that was fabulous. My very resistant sister even liked it! ??We enjoyed salads that were fresh and delicious. My sister ordered a glass of red wine ?that the server recommended. She really enjoyed it. I tasted it and liked it too. I am not typically a red wine drinker. We each got the queen size prime rib that was massive. The horseradish sauce was a perfect accompaniment to the prime rib. Each order was cooked to perfection. One note, people at the next table ordered the fish options which also looked and smelled amazing. The restaurant seems to have something for everyone. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts, mushrooms and the Asparagus with hollandaise. I recommend these. They were wonderful.I was surprised with a small chocolate cake with a candle and a Happy Birthday message that was very yummy!!We each left with large doggie bags!I will visit this establishment in the future. We did make a reservation and were seated immediately.I recommend calling a head to see if reservations are required. Before going, I appreciated that I was able to view the menu online. If you are able to go, enjoy!Vegetarian options: Roasted veggies, salads and potato optionsParking: Handicapped parking availableWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility provided

Wow, what a meal! Excellent. I am going to treat my sister to this experience. It was pricey, but you got exactly what you paid for and had superior customer service.

This place gets packed during weekend evenings, and for a good reason; great service and fantastic steaks - make a reservation if you're dining over the weekend.I love going for lunch (dinner menu is also available). In the pic is my favorite go-to lunch: Coffee crusted sirloin with caramelized shallot demi and mashed potatoes.

Went here for a birthday lunch with my colleagues. I had the lobster chowder and dill chicken salad sandwich. It didn't taste like dill but was still good as was the chowder. They surprised me with a chocolate lava cake dessert which was lovely! Will definitely be going back!

Excellent food....Cedar plank salmon, sirloin, loaded Mash, green beans, ice cream sundaes. Perfect Booth seating in the main dining room. Excellent service from Erik. Alcohol prices are rather excessively high. Also, $9 for a basic house garden "salad" which is 95% iceberg lettuce.......

My wife and I decided to have dinner here as we have done many times before. Previously we had 5 star experiences, but tonight we had a horrible experience. We were seated immediately but waited 10 minutes before our server greeted us and asked for our drink order. Another 10-15 before we received them. I was not getting a good feeling and told my wife we should leave as our server had several other tables with 4 or more guests and she was just too busy for us. We decided to stay as it was late. We waited 10 more minutes to order after our server said “I’ll be back in a sec”. We ordered our steaks and salad and I then requested a wine. We then received bread and received salad a little later. 30 minutes after finishing our salad we finally received our steaks and mashed potatoes. My steak was undercooked and went back. I finally received my wine. I then tried potatoes and they were cold. Server back in 5 minutes with my steak which was still undercooked. I had used bread plate for potatoes since we had no other plate - she said I should get a new plate, then left with my steak and potatoes. 5 minutes later we had warmed potatoes, but no plate to put them on. Waited another 5 minutes to get my steak and new plate for potatoes. Wife is done with her steak and I quickly ate mine. 20 minutes later server returns - I ask for check and also asked to speak with manager, server went and spoke to manager and returned to stay he would be here in a sec. I get the check but after 10 more minutes of waiting for manager decided to pay the check and leave. Manager stops us as we walk out door saying that he comped my steak and give him a minute to reprint my bill. I was not looking for that. I was wanting to give constructive feedback on our experience and get his explanation. Instead they presume I want comp. I wanted manager input on the all the delays so I could determine an appropriate server tip.

The food and service were top notch and we lucked into a private room with our party of 7 which was wonderful for conversation. The main seating area was very loud though. Every single dish was excellent though. From the lobster corn chowder to the family-style extras. Will definitely go back.

First visit here was phenomenal. French onion soup, mushrooms, brownie all were excellent. Cowboy ribeye was cooked at perfect medium rare. 2nd visit was on a Friday. Even though they were extremely busy that should not be an excuse for the drop in quality. The chocolate cake & brussels sprouts were decent. The porterhouse was really disappointing. While it did have a pink center as a medium rare is supposed to have there was no char on the steak. I thought it was pan seared but was told it was indeed put in the broiler but was told that it was taken out very quickly since they wanted to make sure it was within the 130-135 Fahrenheit I had strictly mentioned. It just shows the chef was incompetent-it's possible to prepare a steak with the perfect amount of char & still achieve a temperature between 130-135 Fahrenheit. The service & atmosphere are great but not sure if they can't cook a perfect steak there is a point of returning.Update: Decided to give this place another go. My decision was justified as the boneless ribeye was a perfect medium rare with the right amount of char & the creme brulee was delectable. Creamed spinach was okay.

We celebrated a birthday with about 10 people, mostly adults. The food and drinks were excellent, and everybody was satisfied with the quality of the food. Service was solid. I ordered the prime rib French dip and fries, and it was very good. Almost everyone else ordered steak entrees with separate shared sides. Food portions are more than ample, so light eaters take note, especially with the generous side dishes. The cocktails, appetizers, and side orders do add up, but we skipped dessert and kept the tab to about $75 per person, including tip.
