Came in early for my appointment but had to use the restroom. I got a bit lost in this huge mall and when I came back they said I needed to reschedule since I was 8min late. NEVER coming back here!

Just wanted to say the employees working on 3/3/2025 at 1pm are nowhere near customer service orientated. Was offered no help and even heard one of them say "watch them so they don't steal their glasses." Lens crafters, on the other hand, excellent service, very helpful, and very courteous.

Would not recommend Vision Works~
The glasses I bought here broke after a year. I took them back and they glued it- then 2 weeks later the other side broke. So I glued it this time. During the year of purchase I had to go back numerous times to have them adjusted.
I recently went to America's Best and the service I received there was amazing. I actually was sized and fitted and they helped me get the correct frame accordingly! ( I wasn’t given this service at all at Vision Works, in fact she just sat and ate her lunch the entire time I was trying on frames)
From now on it’s America’s Best for me! I am so happy to have new glasses that actually fit me correctly!!!
Vision Works doesn’t deserve even a 1 star~
but I have no choice in order to post this. 😢

I get one free pair of glasses a year and due to my schedule I have not had time the last 5 years to get a new pair. I was finally able to make time to make time to go get an updated prescription. I call my insurance and visionworks is one of the few places that I can take full advantage of my benefits at. I called ahead when I had an opening in my schedule one Saturday to see if I needed to schedule an appointment in advance to come in and try on frames to order a pair. The gentleman that answers says no appointments are necessary and confirms their hours open that day with me. I showed up at 1:30pm and they had a paper sign on the door saying they were closed until 2:30pm- so I had to walk around the mall for an hour burning time until they opened. When he came back and opened the store he was very kind. I picked a pair, paid for them and he said they would be ready in 2weeks. I got a text that my glasses were ready on a Friday at 4:30pm. I couldn’t get in until today and I went right after work. According to their hours on their door and online they should have been open today until 6:30pm. I arrived by 5:30pm and the store was dark and there was a fedex delivery sticker on the door. Another lady was also there who said she talked to the dollar store across the hallway and they told her they hadn’t opened all day. How am I supposed to know when I can pick up my glasses that I already paid for?

Amazing staff and Dr.! Knowledgeable, attentive, skilled, kind and provided fantastic customer service. Let's face it, sadly, customer service is a dying art and it's so very difficult to find it anywhere anymore. But, you will at the Visionworks @ Southdale.
The only con is the small selection of glasses they carry that my insurance will pay for.

I had a Obsiminal experience today at vision works southdale. I called my provider and southdale was given specifically as a location to take BCBS Blue Blus. When I walked in i wasn't greeted, employee Clarissa was sion her phone sitting down while 5 other customers remained unhelped. I had to ask about Blue Plus frames, i was told they no longer take ANY state insurance. Clarissa definitely needs more training especially with customer service. While in southdale mall i called Eden Praire Southdale and they agreed that they take it. Headed there now to give them my business!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this Visionworks (which is usually not the case at other stores).I visited on a Friday afternoon when it was not very busy. They were able to get me in to see the eye doctor, complete a contact assessment, and send me on my way without having to make a follow-up appointment.Employees were very cheerful and kind. I would highly recommend this Visionworks to anyone in the metro.

Only one person working every time we have gone in. No acknowledgment that we have walked in/are waiting when they are helping someone else. Staff was not sure how to use their technology and it took a very long time to get what we needed (one pair of kids glasses).
