I had an absolutely amazing experience at this Visionworks (which is usually not the case at other stores).I visited on a Friday afternoon when it was not very busy. They were able to get me in to see the eye doctor, complete a contact assessment, and send me on my way without having to make a follow-up appointment.Employees were very cheerful and kind. I would highly recommend this Visionworks to anyone in the metro.

Only one person working every time we have gone in. No acknowledgment that we have walked in/are waiting when they are helping someone else. Staff was not sure how to use their technology and it took a very long time to get what we needed (one pair of kids glasses).

WORST. SERVICE . EVER!!!!I was excited to find a pair of frames that I liked after looking for a few weeks. I placed my order and couldn’t wait to pick them up. I was told I’d be notified when they were ready, given a date two weeks out, but was told they often arrive in about a week. After hearing nothing for three weeks I called to see if they were ready. Their automated line told me they had no order on record for me! ? After reaching someone at the store I was told they’d been there for two weeks (!!) and that a manager had texted me, but no text ever came. But here’s the really annoying part: when I picked them up and tried them on, there were blank lenses in them - no prescription at all! So they send them back and when I arrive for the pick up (round 2!!), first the person working didn’t acknowledge me for 20 minutes, and second, when I finally tried them on, the prescription was wrong again - I’m near sighted and would never have been able to see well enough to drive with them. The sales clerk couldn’t have been more rude, telling me she could tell the prescription was in them because she could see the blue light reflecting. Well maybe that’s true, but if I can’t see, I can’t see. I asked for a full refund (I’ll believe it when I see it). DO NOT BUY GLASSES HERE.

I have been a Vision Work customer at Southdale Center for over 7 years. The current assistant manager has now sold me 4 sets of glasses and has always exceeded my expectations! Thank you, Sam H, Minneapolis

Terrible customer service. I came for an eye exam and to order new glasses. I will say the eye exam itself went quickly and the doctor was kind and helpful. Can’t say nearly as much for the people working the desk. Both employees seem annoyed with every customer who came in. After my eye exam, I found some glasses I liked and brought them to the desk to order them. The employee then proceed to tell me that their entire computer system was down and they wouldn’t be able to order them for me today. The employee said they would write down my order and place it for me tomorrow when the system is back up. That would be fine enough, except I never heard from them that next day, or the day after. I tried calling the location to check on the status of the order, BUT NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. Seriously. I’ve tried calling at least 6 times over the past two weeks and every time I call, no one answers, then eventually the phone system transfers me to the Visionworks corporate call center, they say they’re going to try and contact the store, then after being able get ahold of anyone themselves, they say “we’ll send a message to the store to have them call you back right away”. We’ll, I’ve been waiting 3 days since the message was sent to the store. Guess what. Still no call back.Who knew they could make it this hard for me to give them my money for some glasses.

Needed to replace my son's glasses that broke. Trying to get them replaced was a challenge but the district manager was helpful after I ran into roadblocks. But now actually picking them up has been the next challenge. This is the 2nd time I've tried to pick up glasses on a Sunday in the last month during their open hours and no one is here. Update your hours if you don't plan to have staff on a Sunday. I don't plan to use vision works in the future because it has been very difficult to pick up.

I was here at 2 pm and the place is closed, no sign on the door saying why it's closed. It clearly state open until 5pm. What other eyeglass place I can go to?

Very very poor customer service. Extremely unhappy with customer service at Southdale [Edina, Minnesota] Center. I had an appointment at 12.20 p.m. I arrived at the center at 12:24 and there was nobody at the front desk. Few minutes later an African-American gentleman showed up and told me that they have a 10-minute late policy so I would have to reschedule. I told him that it was not 12:30 yet. I was then told that they have a 5-minute cancellation policy and that he was being nice by offering me a 10 min window. He could talk to the doctor and see if they would make an exception. I told him that I had walked over a mile to get there and I was within the 5 min window and would appreciate being seen. He came back after talking to the doctor and told me that I will have to reschedule because the doctor is running late. This was extremely frustrating and very poor customer service. I do not believe people working at this center realize that patients go to them when they need help and not for fun. This was my last time visiting this center or an Vision work center for that matter. I am also a healthcare worker and this is not how we treat our patients.

Founds the glasses and sunglasses I wanted. Staff took the time to get the order right and find me the best deal and price. Only suggestion is for staff to not go into detail about personal issues.

Visionworks at Southdale in Edina leaves much to be desired and I wish that I had read the negative reviews aplenty before buying my glasses there. The biggest irritation for me was them applying a $40 credit to my insurance Master Card (used for eye ware only) instead of my Visa card. They had told me when I ordered the glasses that if I found out in the first several months that I would prefer regular glasses versus the bifocals that I ordered that I would get a refund. Not exactly true when it's credited back to an eye ware only Master card because the only way I would see the $40 credit is if I bought a second pair of glasses by the end of the year. If crediting the insurance card first is their policy, that's fine. Withholding that information up front is misrepresentation.
