Went in for a brass fitting for a frost-free ground well told them the exact size model number all the details and they tried to sell me something three times smaller argued with me that it was the right part when I clearly have the correct part in my hand with a big crack in it, not very knowledgeable employees seems to be the norm in Elk River. The employee offered to order the part for me as if I don't know how to order a part directly from the company I was trying to save money on shipping I don't need your assistance ordering parts if this is what big store brands are doing now then I will be shopping at Mom and Pop stores only from now on.

The appliance salesman was horrible. I said I had picked out the dishwasher I wanted. The first thing he said was I hope you don't want the one you asked about originally. I said no, why? He said he sold the last one yesterday. I then showed him the one I wanted. He said with attitude, well that is special order. I questioned about the original one I had asked to see. I said online it showed there were 3 in stock at elk river. He said, you must have looked at the wrong store. I said no, I made sure that it was elk river I selected. He said, you must have been looking at it from a few days ago. I said no,I just downloaded the app this afternoon when my dishwasher stopped working. I specifically looked for stores with in stock. He continued to tell me I must have looked at something wrong. Keep in mind his tone was rude. I tried laughing it off at first, but he kept going with how wrong I was. I am in IT and very tech savvy, I am not my husband who is not tech savvy. I also have little patience for people in customer service who are rude. So, instead of buying from Menards, I went down the road to Home Depot and spent twice as much there. Richard at Home Depot was kind and helpful. I only gave 2 stars because the paint guy that helped my husband was kind even though he was having a tough day.

Went in around 7 on a Friday night looking for paint for our kitchen cabinets. Hayden greeted us and helped educate us on which paint is best and helped steer us in the right direction for best color. Was so patient being with had our 1 and 2 yo with us. Really appreciate the help, we were completely clueless on what to choose.

Inside workers are awesome, other hand the outside (forklift operator was on a little power trip and would only let me pick from a certain pile of lumber)

I used to give this store a five-star and is convenient with living just a couple blocks away. Unfortunately they no longer take orders in the building department over the phone, so had to find a different vendor. If the customer has to go online now to order, they can probably do away with the phones in the building department.

5 customers waiting for them to drop a pallet of sale 2x4's and no one help. 3 different guys on fork lifts, yet no one to help. (They aren't helping other customers) called the store and asked for someone to help.
