huntington is a better option!! took weeks to hear back about a loan approval just to find out we didn’t qualify (not pressed) just they had 4 different ways of contacting us and we never received any confirmation/communication until we called and demanded a different representative, kinda just pushed us off and kept sending us to the voice mail or saying the person wasn’t in at that time! 👎 extremely disappointing especially because we’ve banked with blaze for years now, since they’ve sold it the company the service went in the toilet

Anytime I have an issue with my business, Pillar Strength Group LLC, whether it be in person or e-banking, I call Shane Green to help me out. His customer service and detail to solving any issues has been outstanding. I would highly recommend Shane to anyone that needs that personal touch with your money needs. Since Blaze bought Spire there were a lot of hiccups but Shane was able to smooth everything out for me.

Emma gave me some excellent financial suggestions today for which I am extremely grateful. To have someone that is looking out for you is so assuring when dealing with a Credit Union like Blaze. Mike, the manager, is doing a great job training the employees to have the customers best interests in mind. Mike also set up a CD for me which only took about 20 minutes. Great people to work with! I couldn't be happier!

I can say nothing but amazing things about Shane Green at this location. He has done an outstanding job working with both me and my old financier to get my loan refinanced, and has showed both immense amount of kindness and patience working with me to get this solved. The staff has always been very kind when I walk in, even if they were busier than normal. If you have any personal banking to do, I suggest going to Shane Green 110%!!!

This credit union has been great to us! But most recently, Shane Green at Elk River has been great to us!! We made an appointment with him in hopes to get a car loan for my husband with no credit. Not only was he able to get my husband approved, he was able to give us tons of advice on how to build his credit, when to refinance, and etc. We will most definitely be back to see Shane in the future!!

We have banked at this location for a few years. Shane Green went above and beyond for us getting us approved for a loan. Thank you again, Shane!

I recently tried applying for a checking account and i was asked to show my complete address change and verify with bank statements since i just moved from another city so I’m already jumping through hoops but then i get set up with someone named Don and he is very unprofessional i heard that Spire was WAY better before Blaze took over. I recommend not taking your hard earned money here. They act like you’re doing them a favor lol, if i could rate 0/10 i WOULD!! Surprised with how many bad reviews they receive on a daily that they aren't shut down by now.

If I could give this credit union a 0 star rating i would and still have the ability to leave a review because they are horrible. Why leave me an email to call in and verify my identity just to send me an email back saying that they could not move forward because I could not verify my identity online but I did over the phone. This is why I decided to take my business else where and I have opened up at an even BETTER CREDIT UNION. Thank God for Navy Federal. If you can get into that I say try and do not even waste your time at this bank. Best of luck to anyone who decides to put their trust in this bank i dodged a bullet with this bank. God knew this was not the bank to go with. Bad business ran here. Thank you but no thank you!

I recently attempted to open a business account at Blaze Credit Union, and my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. After meeting with Donald Walentiny on November 14th, I was assured that the process was simple and that the only remaining step was to register my assumed business name and send the document to him. I filed the document within 15 minutes of leaving and promptly emailed it to the address on his business card.
What followed was complete radio silence. Despite leaving multiple voicemails (on November 25th and December 3rd) and calling the Member Experience Center, I did not receive any acknowledgment or follow-up from Mr. Walentiny. When the Member Experience team finally reached him today, I was told he claimed to have called me — yet I received no missed calls, voicemails, or email responses.
This level of negligence and disregard for a potential customer's time is unacceptable. Opening a simple bank account as a sole proprietor should not be this difficult. The lack of communication and follow-through suggests a deeper issue with customer service at this branch, which is further reflected in the numerous negative reviews it has received over the past year.
I’m extremely disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for Blaze Credit Union to reevaluate their practices and prioritize customer satisfaction.

Our experience with Spire Federal Credit Union spans many years. Down to the very last one, all of our transactions with them have been outstanding! Their "secret sauce" however, comes down to their people!

Edit: They promptly reached out to me to explain. I stand by what I said originally.Wouldn't let me deposit a check because my wife wasn't physically present.Absolutely a trust problem with there customers and me. Disgusting. Thanks for the inconvenience.

Spire reached out to learn more:1. Very low-tech. You cannot open and fund an account online. They trick you into thinking you can by collecting a funding source, but then you have to spend an hour per account in a branch watching a banker typing aimlessly.2. No banking integrations. This bank does not use Zelle, or any other method to send money to others. If you want to be able to transfer funds, you'd better have a lot of time to wait.3. Their customer service number is ineffective. The reps have no authority and provide little details.4. Bill Pay is outdated. If you initiate a bill pay, they tell you that the recipient will receive a check (only paper check mailing available, kind of like 1990) on a certain date, but that is untrue. The check is drafted and mailed on that date. They also do not withdraw funds until that date, so if you have anything pending or money moving around quickly, you may get an NSF fee and they won't send the check, so you're stuck with late fees with the recipient and an NSF charge. This bank is stuck in the 1990's with very low tech and poor service. If you have time to waste sitting in a branch, waiting on snail mail paper check transfers, and poor phone support, this is the bank for you. If you desire a bank with full service online banking, transfer options like normal banks, or other services we've come to expect from banks, go find a real bank. Spire is merging with another credit union and I hope they will improve service and technology.

This so-called "bank" is completely useless. We moved to the area recently and my credit union is not in the area. We were having a fundraiser garage sale for my daughter's dog that was hit by a car and so I went get a roll of quarters from them. They refused to take my $10 bill and exchange it for $10 in quarters because they said "I don't have a relationship with them".At this point, even though I'm going to be looking for a closer credit union, I would never use Spire.Incidentally, Minnco had no problem taking my cash and giving me quarters.
