I embarrassingly sent a package to an old address in Elk River. Now being a Duluth resident, I was obviously worried that I would never see said package. Fortunately enough, Jill at the office, as well as the delivery driver who was en route to deliver the package, were gracious enough to stop the delivery and hold the package for me until I make a trip down. Communication was great, as Jill was able to intercept the package in a timely matter AND call me back letting me know they got the package back to the office. Thank you for all you do at the post office!

I walked in with my Driver license that has the matching old address as required for in person change of address verification. The instructions do not require a second form of ID if the old address matches. After 20 minutes in line, i was told to come back tomorrow with a second form of ID. Fix your system or process! No wonder this place has 2.2 star rating

This location is just horrible. Any questions any help that you need you were just met with immediate disrespect, lazy effort, and in the end no help at all. I cannot tell you how many times is my package has been mis delivered. There is no reason why my package Should be at its final destination at the elk River Postal Service And then magically gets rerouted to Minneapolis because people in the sorting center are too lazy to pay attention to labels and do their actual job. You will sit on hold for hours on hours for someone To just tell you that they can’t help you. I’ve now had four packages saying they’ve been delivered when they were never delivered to my house and I have yet to still receive all those packages. I talked to somebody on the phone saying that they would fix the problem and it has been a year and a half since I’ve heard anything back from them. What a horrible way to represent a company that’s supposed to deliver important services.

We have had plenty of issues with them misremembering mail but my experience today left me completely dumbfounded. I purchased a pair of expensive sunglasses and they were “delivered” today. I saw the lady who delivered to us and instantly went out. There was a package in there that was super light and looked like it had been tampered with. Opened the box and inside it was another box with the Rayban box in it. Opened that box…empty!!!! Stole my sunglasses! Are you kidding me!!! I went to the post office and they said I had to file a claim. I was irate. I went to the store I bought them from and figured it out with them and they gave me a pair. Thank God, but USPS is trash. Just terrible. I will be hounding them until they find out who the thief is that works there. Wouldn’t doubt if it’s the girl that delivers our mail though as I have gotten weird vibes from her since she’s became our new deliverer. I’d give them 0 stars if I could.

Delivery said I requested my delivery to a pick up which I did not request. When I went to pick up they could not find my package.

I have visited several times and the service people are not very well trained, the supplies are always low or our, the facilities are very worn and not clean. Even the person had a stained dirty shirt on when they opened.

Here currently (Saturday, June 1 at 9:24 am) and no one has showed up for their shift (posted hours of 9am) there is a line of 4 of us (who have stayed) as well as multiple people who have came and left. I do not write bad reviews often, but believe people should be made aware if someone isn't going to be here for posted hours. It's so disappointing. Please do something about this.

I've never had such a bad experience with this place until today, this morning. The bigger lady who's always sweaty looking that works the front desk had to cop an attitude when all I wanted to do was understand a misunderstanding. I apparently after a full year of shipping out packages was doing something wrong and this woman had to include herself into my convo with another woman working the front desk. And instead of being nice and understanding and answering my questions she was demeaning and was talking down to me in front of everyone. If she hates her job that much maybe she needs to go find somewhere else cause that was disgusting.

This place is a joke. I have NEVER had so many issues with misdelivered packages or "attempted" deliveries. I received a notification that my package was delivered, and it shows up a week later. Or they lie even more, saying that they tried to deliver, but they ran into a problem. Hire some competent people.

Our mailman, Brandon accidentally put our package in the wrong spot (we live in a townhouse complex so many mailboxes) and was able to find it immediately. He was super apologetic. You don’t come by that often- kudos to you, Brandon for your hardwork and self correction. I hope we can continue to have you on our route.The reasoning for my four stars is because when I called Elk River USPS about a missing package as it had been days, the office gal tracked it down and told me there was nothing she could do as it shows delivered. I explained how I lived in a townhouse and there just may have easily been a mix up, asked if she could relay the message to our mailman since I don’t get the chance to get to him when he delivers mail. That was not the case, she did not care one bit, instead my neighbor had to flag down our mailman about it and that is the reason we were able to figure it out. Very disappointing.

Whenever we stop in, everyone who works here is so sweet and helpful! I usually bring my toddlers with to drop packages off & they’re all just so nice and great. Wonderful post office & service ☺️
