Ely Outdoors Company is the best outfitting company in Ely, a top notch business. They are very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating, with excellent response times. They provide great service, seamless canoe drop off and pickup, and everything you need, including great rentals of canoes and Duluth packs in very good condition. Their bunkhouse is a great value, with a hot shower and comfy mattresses and pillows, allowing for re-organization. They offer cool maps and great advice, with fantastic trip-planning and suggestions that can save hard portaging and frustration, making for a much better trip. They are highly recommended for first timers in the Boundary Waters.
