I’ve been attending Sisu for about 4 years now and it’s a great gym! You can modify the intensity of the workout to match where you’re at in your fitness journey. Fantastic combo of strength and cardio and the community of people is awesome!

Joining SISU CrossFit in Excelsior just two months ago has been one of the most meaningful steps I’ve taken on my journey toward better health and strength. I walked in feeling nervous and unsure of what to expect, but from the very first day, I was met with warmth, encouragement, and a true sense of belonging.
As someone working toward significant weight loss, I was ready to shift my focus to building strength—and SISU has delivered beyond my expectations. I’ve learned how to move with intention, lift with confidence, and challenge my body in ways I never thought possible. Each session leaves me feeling stronger, more capable, and proud of the progress I’m making.
The coaching staff has been nothing short of amazing. Thanks to their guidance, I’m achieving things I once doubted I could do.
While my journey at SISU is still just beginning, I already feel connected to something bigger than myself.
I’m looking forward to deepening my roots in this incredible community and continuing to grow—stronger, healthier, and more empowered with every step.

I've been training at SISU for over 10 years, and it's been one of the most consistent and rewarding parts of my life. The community is incredible; the facility is top-notch and having a running/biking trail right next to it is a huge bonus.
The coaches - Pat, Emily, Billy, David and Raj are amazing humans! They bring a great mix of knowledge, motivation and fun to every workout. Thanks to SISU, I've been able to stay consistently fit and carry that strength and endurance into all of my various outdoor adventures like backpacking, mountaineering and biking....or just going for a walk with my spouse :-)
One of the coolest things recently is that my 15-year daughter started coming with me about six months ago. Its been awesome to share this experience with her and see her grow stronger and more confident.
If you are looking for a place that's more than just a gym - where you'll be challenged, supported, and part of a great community - SISU is it.

I’ve been doing Crossfit on and off since 2014, and have been to a lot of different boxes. I joined Crossfit SISU about a year ago and it is hands down one of the best. Their coaching staff really cares about their members and are passionate about Crossfit. There is a wonderful community inside and outside the gym. Whether you want to do organized outings on the weekends with members or a local partner throwdown. The workouts are always fun, varied and challenging. You can scale to all sorts of different levels depending on where you are at in your fitness journey. Unlike many Crossfit boxes I’ve been to, SISU has a sauna, cold plunge pool, HYROX classes, Sweat classes, Strength, and Crossfit classes. You’ll be able to find a class that suits your interests. The last thing worth mentioning is they have all the equipment you could ever need - including climbing ropes, sleds, and even an AssaultRunner treadmill if you’re trying to spice it up. Give this place a shot and you’ll be happy you did so!

I’m going on year 3 with Sisu. I’ll admit it - I didn’t want to try it but I did and I’m so glad. I was intimidated by the heavy weights. But, all types of shapes, sizes and ages take classes. My favorite is the 8:30 am. We stretch, do cardio and I use the size weights that works for me, just dumbbells. For every excercise the coaches can show you an alternative. No one is judging you. There are college kids to young 80 year olds in the class. I feel stronger physically and mentally. I have made some nice connections. There’s a fun and open vibe and someone is always there to help you. And how can you pass up enjoying the sauna afterwards. I’ll be 49 in August and I know that these classes are helping me stay healthier into my next chapters. Pat, the owner is very community focused and truly cares about your successes and the city of excelsior. It feels good to be apart of such a positive environment and business.

I’ve been doing CrossFit for 5 years now and have been a member of 4 different CrossFit gyms in that time. SISU is by far the best gym I’ve been a part of. It’s got the best community and coaches for all levels of fitness, the gym itself is in a great location and has everything you need for workouts or open gym, saunas, cold plunge, challenging programming for all abilities. 10/10 highly recommend!

CrossFit Sisu is more than just a gym, it’s a world class community that pushes you to be your best every single day. I’ve been training at CrossFit Sisu for nearly 5 years, and I’ve never accomplished so much athletically or in fitness in my life. Pat has created something truly special with Sisu, and has continually added new innovative formats and amenities that further sets this gym apart. His passion for coaching, and recruiting the best coaches around sets the tone for every individual member’s success.
No matter what your individual goals may be, Sisu has what you need to be successful, and to continuously improve. I’ve built several lasting friendships since joining Sisu, and that is perhaps the greatest reward of all.
If you’re looking for a place to get strong, stay motivated, and be a part of a great community, CrossFit Sisu is it. Can’t recommend it enough!

I started going to Sisu in February of 2023 at the age of 57 at first because I wanted to make sure I'd be able to take care of myself as I get older, but then after doing it for a few months I really began to feel better and stronger and, yes, even look better!
I can't say enough about the coaches, I need a little extra attention due to an accident I was in several years ago and they all take the time to make sure each exercise is adapted properly to my needs.
They are very supportive of people at every stage of their growth in fitness, especially those just starting out, making sure they are introduced to everyone, gently teaching technique, and making it fun for everyone!
I'm hooked, and will be a member of Sisu for many years to come!

I joined Sisu after moving to the area from out of state, and it’s been a great way to get connected and meet people. I was looking for a great workout when I joined, but was surprised to find a really supportive and friendly community of all ages. I genuinely look forward to seeing the friends I’ve made each time I come to workout. The coaches are super helpful and great at scaling workouts to all fitness levels, which made starting out a lot less intimidating.
I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’ve convinced my mom, brother, and husband to join too—and we’re all really enjoying it. Overall, it’s been a solid experience and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new spot to workout.

I started doing CrossFit over a year ago at SISU (after my husband encouraged me to join). I was a little hesitant because I thought it might be too intense, but I was surprised by how welcoming the whole gym is for people of all fitness levels. The coaches have always helped me figure out how to scale the workouts to my level, and the other gym members have been incredibly friendly and supportive. I have become so much stronger over the last year. The workouts always challenge me to push a little harder than I would if I worked out on my own. I highly recommend SISU for anyone looking to improve their fitness and overall health!

Great coaching. Welcoming and supportive community. Clean Gym. Even has a sauna and cold plunge for taking care of the body after the tough workouts. Everything about this place screams quality and commitment to its members' physical health. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I joined SISU over a year ago and we have loved it! We were nervous to go to a “CrossFit” gym, but the coaches and community were so welcoming. There are always ways to scale each workout to where our bodies are at. Making us feel successful. My daughter was feeling stronger, but wanted help with losing weight. She started the nutrition program with Christina in the fall and is down 30lbs!! She is feeling so much stronger in all ways and educated on how to lead a healthy life. We could not be more grateful for this gym and the people in it!

SISU is the best gym in town!! Seriously, I love this place. I’ve been a member now for over 4 years and can’t imagine where I would be without it. My overall fitness has improved greatly in this time. The varied training creates strength and fitness. The community creates grit, or SISU! The community of the gym is so great! Very supportive and encouraging, not intimidating. It’s fun to workout with your friends. The coaches are incredible people and so helpful with providing guidance and movement options to any level of athlete. Exercise is the healthiest thing you can do for both body and mind and SISU is the best place to do it!!!
