What a great shop! I enjoy the book recommendations, and though it’s a small shop, they have a wide selection. They also are great for ordering a special book or getting a pre-order for a much anticipated new release. The owners are present and hands on, and so much fun to work with.

I love small bookstores. You are the lifeblood in your community. Friendly store.Found a small book , “Days at the Morisaki Bookshop” by Satoshi Yagisawa. Just finished reading it. It’s a wonderful story of family and how we help each other in good and bad times. I throughly enjoyed reading it. The book cover is what attracted me to the book.

This is one of my favorite bookstores in the twin cities area. Yesterday was my second time going and it made me love it even more. I always have a friendly experience with whoever is selling books. Also they had a dog there which is always an added plus! The bookstore includes recommendation tags which is always a great touch and includes new books I haven't seen yet as an avid reader!

If I could give them 100 stars, I would! I can't believe I am just now writing a review for this most perfect bookstore. The owners, Ann and Dale, are absolutely delightful, helpful, kind, and so wonderfully knowledgeable. The staff they have included in the store are equally wonderful and I enjoy every opportunity if am able to visit this adorable gem. Thank you for bringing such joy to the community!

If I'm looking for some fiction, I always know that I can find it here. They have a large selection of both adult and YA fiction with both newer releases and classics available. This is also one of my favorite dog-friendly stores. My dog really loved walking around this store, and the store owners were very kind when my dog tried stealing the shop dog's bone. Anytime I'm in Excelsior, this bookstore is one of my stops.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Small inventory but they will order anything for you and it comes quick. Great children's and young readers section. Support local book stores!

Made a trip out to excelsior to visit after reading all the reviews that mentioned the great selection of kids books—so good!! We really enjoyed perusing and picking out some fun new titles. It’s is clear that there is a lot of care and effort put into selecting a wide variety of quality kids books (even board books). Absolutely loved it and will absolutely be back soon.Also, great selection of cards, puzzles and other fun things besides books. Would be a great spot to grab a gift!

Staff were super fun, I went in to buy a book as a Christmas present on my break. They knew exactly where it was and grabbed it for me and then suggested the secret lives of colour to me after I said that I was an artist and I absolutely can not put it down. A lovely experience and I would highly recommend this book store!

Great to have a local, independently owned bookstore! Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Good selection of books for adults, young adults and children. Feels good to buy local.
