Refinanced my mortgage starting with locking in a rate on July 23rd, 2021. Closed on the refinance on August 24th, 2021. For the most part, Jason R. and Dylan G. were very responsive. There were a couple times I had to follow up with them but nothing too bad.Closing costs were about as expected (3-4% of old loan). One downside was my loan was at 57% of my home value and still needed an appraisal that cost $650 but considering the jump from 30 yr 4.25% to 15 yr 2.125%, it's not the end of the world.My biggest complaint about going through Onward Financing would be that they will sell your mortgage as soon as they can. Expect to be with a different lender before even closing on the loan. I am now through Amerihome Mortgage but have not had any issues with the switch so no reduction in rating.

Paul Fredin, our mortgage advisor, kept in touch with us and informed us faithfully all along the way of the process as it progressed, in his matter-of-fact calm and reassuring way. Paul earned our trust and we felt the same from him. We became aware that a lot of hard work goes into this, that we could observe, but far more that we couldn't see. Many thanks for keeping it all together...we mean that in more ways than one. He took the 'scary' out of buying a home and made it a joy! Tracy and Sydney worked with us in a very positive and professional way to get all the details of our mortgage loan completed.
