“This place. I’ve always loved it but since the renovation, it is really become something special. We love the weekend breakfasts they do and roll into bingo! The beers taste better here. All the food is amazing. I was going to have the fish sandwich tonight as it is a favorite but they were out. I went with the automatic, the Reuben. It was amazing as usual. The french fries are outstanding. So good I ate all of my french fries before I even touched my sandwich. The Reuben was spectacular, you can’t beat it. For the price, you can’t beat the Forest Lake American Legion. What makes this place fantastic is the people that patronize the establishment. These are people that I have grown up with, and I have met over my many years on this planet. Do yourself a favor and stop in, on a Sunday. Come on the third or fourth weekend and have the breakfast that they put on for around $14 all you can eat. Stay until bingo and have yourself a serious Sunday fun day.”
“I love weddings at Hangar 97! I own Jeff Dose Photography and have had the pleasure of photographing here. It's hard to find a more unique setting for a wedding! Being an actual hangar is definitely unique, but also the palate of colors and textures (chrome, concrete, white, open air with the HUGE door open) is different than your typical venue. I LOVED it!”
“Came here on a weekend to purchase a GameBoy SP. They were super busy, I guess they were running a card show next door, the place was packed with kids and their dads. It was actually a very fun atmosphere, I was surprised at the energy buzzing around the place. A guy saw me hanging out by the Nintendo case within a few minutes of my arrival, he came over, took the time to help me out, let me see all three variations of the SP they have there OG, 101, and Modded Screen. I bought the Modded Screen for $200 (no, they are not free) and a couple GB games and was on my way. I never played the gathering nor any of the subsequent card games, I think they look neat. I just like to play old Nintendo games once in a while, I don't even really like Sega. If you are into those types of RPG card games, this place looks like the place to go. They have tons, and playing rooms, and everything. It is also cool for old video games. They are friendly, and have fair pricing. It is like going to FuncoLand and The Source, at the same time. Maybe that's not right. It is more like going to Punch Out Gaming!”
