I’m leaving this review because back in September 2023 I went the the Verizon store in fosston to just browse and the sales associate that was there told me they had a deal on the iPhone 15, that if I traded in my iPhone 13 that Russell cellular would pay the $830 within a month of me joining, well I started noticing weird bills to my account and when I called Verizon about it they told me I had to be on a certain plan for 36 months to get the “free phone” (which the sales associate did not mention this at all!) there was also no papers given to me to sign I was given the phone and constantly reassured that I would get a free iPhone 15 on Russell cellular within a month. After contacting BOTH Russell cellular and Verizon about this matter I was pretty much told I would not be able to get helped and that I “misunderstood” what the sales associate told me about the promotion which I’ll state again I was told “ if you trade in your iPhone 13 within a month Russell cellular will pay the full $830 in the first month of you switching over and starting a new line” and once I called both companies I was told I had to switch over to a different plan and have to stay on the plan for 36 months and I ended up decided I wanted my trade in phone back and I would return the iPhone 15 (they said I could do that) and once I was transferred to another department to get my phone back they told me i couldn’t do that! So I asked for them to give me the trade in amount for my phone and add it to just the amount of what’s left to pay on this phone and they said they couldn’t do that and so I requested a check be sent to me so I can do it and they told me I couldn’t do that either so I ended up just deciding to leave it be until February 2024 and the whole time between September-February I kept being lied to by Verizon! Constantly! So once I payed off the iPhone 15 I left Verizon and will NEVER be returning! I gave them plenty of chances to make things right but they kept saying pretty much that I don’t have proof I was lied to and that I most likely misunderstood what the associate was saying to me even though he was plain as day telling me that Russell cellular would pay the $830 within a month of me joining Verizon and NOT ONCE mention I would need to be on a certain plan for 36months! I wouldn’t even give Verizon 1 star but have to to leave a review! LIES AND MANIPULATIVE COMPANY DO NOT DO BUSINESS!

This review is specifically for the Russell cellular store in Fosston and not a reflection of Verizon directly. Use caution when using this store for your Verizon wireless needs. We were sold and quoted phones and a phone plan without anything in writing. When the first bill came it was 4x the amount we were told it would be. All of the promotions we were offered and things we were told would be free were in fact not free. We went back into the store multiple times to speak with the representative that sold us our phones and devices and he kept reassuring us it would be taken care of when the promotions took effect. Now the store is temporarily closed and we got schemed and lied to about promotions that don’t exist. It’s very unfortunate that the associate swindled and lied to us as the service and products we get from Verizon are fantastic and we are quite happy with that alone. Now we are paying huge amounts of money for things that were severely misrepresented by the associates in this store and with the store being closed there is no one to talk to regarding the misrepresentation and no one to take accountability. I would highly recommend going elsewhere because if you get involved with things through this retailer Verizon cannot assist and this company will do nothing to make it right. It’s very disheartening this store would do this especially around the holidays.

Everything I told was free gave me huge monthly bills, he is unable to track the phone I traded in, therefore I haven't received a discount, I will never return to fosston. Plus you never know if they're open because no one answers the phone! 12-29-23 talked to Russel cellular head office, no proof of me trading my phone in, no refund, owe them $1000, he said she said! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!

Tried to stop at this location multiple times to shop for a new accessories for my new device and the store is never open during business hours. I've checked websites to see what hours they will be open and it doesn't match up. Ill call but there isn't an answer and am unable to leave messages. It's a shame that a person has to drive 45 min to get help. I'd rather shop local, but apparently online is a better option.

Swindled!! Lied to!! Given the run around!! Now I'm out over $1000 and after talking to corporate and other "higher-ups" I find out there is nothing that can be done yet this manager gets away with it scott free?! Unimpressed with their slob appearances, unimpressed that they don't follow store hours, and VERY unimpressed that the doors were locked during store hours and finally walking in to smell the store reaked of Marijuana. Ill continue to work qith Verizon but this store and this manager are a JOKE.

We each purchased new phones over a year ago and my wife received credit on her phone , however mine had to be ordered, when it came in I turned my old phone back in and got the new one. He said it would take a bit to get credit promo and for the old phone. I have not received it , called many times but no help. Then the new person was sending the info to the district manager to take care of, however as of this date Verizon has not returned call or helped. I left a message again today. I would not recommend making a purchase from this retailer. Terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS RETAILER.

Went to the store at 1130 in the morning, the door was locked and the answering machine said assisting other customers. Waited until 1 pm and still no answer or sign of anyone. Hrs. On the door said open until 6pm. If they couldn't be there or were sick. They could change answering machine or at least put up a sign

Update I was able to speak to the district manager today and was very pleased with the outcome of our conversation. I am hopeful that all future interaction at this location will be much better.My wife and I purchased a new iPhone and two new apple watches in April and Cody the location manager kept telling us just wait for the next bill everything will show as far as promotional offers. After repeated attempts to correct issues and visits where he asked me to let him work on it and he would call me the next day with now call back I finally went in end of July. Cody lost his cool tried to throw me out of store and threatened to call the cops if I didn’t leave. His severe lack of professionalism and respect for the clients is saddening as I always try to shop local to support my small town jobs and having a person to go to with customer service issues when and if they arise. Even when the interaction at the store was over after I called Russell caller customer care while sitting in store. I made a point to apologize to Cody for my part in the interaction that was heated as I’m sure after being threatened and told to get out I had a tone I’m sure. Codys response to that was still a disrespectful and inappropriate just get out. Cody has demonstrated a lack of concern for issues created by the Fosston russell cellar location and sadly I would recommend doing business else where as he will not assist clients in a respectful manner.So here we are a week later and still no attempt from the district manager to reach out and resolve issues. After it was stated that company was working with district manager to resolve situation. I also was told on the phone the day in the store that I would receive a call from district manager within 24 to 48 hours per company policy the follow thru and customer service are still a huge failure.

Drove to town multiple times when hours says they're open just to find them closed all day. Traded phones and didn't get credits for old ones plus charging other phone lines for different phones. Horrible place to do business

Purchased 2 new S22 phones due to employee telling us about promotions and upgrade credits. After waiting 2-3 billing cycles, NO credits received, employee is no longer employed and The Fosston store refuses to correct this and is now sticking us with $1,700 in contracts. Go else where, or go do your purchase online. Sticking us with a 1700 bill after it is too late to return phones or have any recourse of action. EXTREMELY HORRIBLE BUSINESS TO WORK WITH!

My dad goes in to get a new working phone kody egland helped him. He pretty much gave my dad a phone and said good luck and said he didn’t have time to help as he had other customers. I called kody to see what plan he put my dad on and of course his excuse was he had customer in there and didn’t have time to answer my questions. Asked about what he bill was and he couldn’t even look that up. Go somewhere else where they are willing to help.

Very good experience with my upgrade from a Motorola Droid to a galaxy flip phone. All my stuff was transferred to new phone before I left store. Thanks Kody
