“I had a WONDERFUL experience at NM designs! I showed up to the shop, panicked, 4 hours before I was flying out to go to an Indian wedding because the saree I ordered online did not fit properly. I was immediately at ease. She worked within my budget and took the time to find me a beautiful set that I felt good in. I loved the set she put together for me. She then altered the top and skirt on the spot to get me a perfect fit!!! She was kind and made the whole process fun. I wish I would have started at this shop from the beginning. I would highly recommend going here. She has beautiful pieces and a good variety of options!”
“I worked with Ayeadio to create fitted, traditional 3-piece African suits for my wedding in 2026. They helped us make the wedding a dream come true. The service was excellent; Hilary was knowledgeable, culturally aware, and supportive. The prices for the suits were fair in my opinion and the the tailor was able to produce all 5 suits in less than 1 month! I was impressed with the turnaround time, the communication, and the variety of traditional attire available in the store. If you're looking for traditional African clothing, I would recommend you visit Ayeadio or, at least, reach out.”
“I had a great experience today! I needed a dress for my son's graduation ceremony and the owner was so helpful. She brought me 7 or 8 dresses to try and was very thoughtful about her selections.
I bought 2 dresses and a necklace and will be back for more purchases.
They even have a rewards program. As well as a salon at the back of the store.”

I can always find something here and my style and body has changed a lot in the almost 15 years I've been shopping here. They really support their community in numerous ways and are very transparent about their processes and practices. If you're looking for a super sugary customer service experience that's curated to make you feel good (ie super fake), this probably isn't your place.”

“My mom brought me to this boutique because she is a huge fan of Stacey Johnson Jewelry and I wanted some of her earrings. We loved all of the fun and unique items the store has.
I bought some earrings and had a small issue with them when I got home. The boutique worked with Stacey to repair the earrings and then makes them to my home out of state.
The customer service was above and beyond to say the least from our time in the store to out of it. I highly recommend this store and will be making a stop here in my MN trips from now on!”

Jewelry of all colors and styles, purses, clothes, etc. Just be careful you don't spend your entire paycheck (the prices are very reasonable, but you might accidentally buy everything because this is such a fun store and I wanted it all)! The lady who was working last week when I was in was super helpful and found so many options for complementary jewelery for my new years eve look. I will be back here numerous times in the future, I'm sure.”

“I popped into the North Loop Madewell on a mission to find jeans that actually fit me, a task I usually dread because finding the right pair has always been a struggle. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name who helped me, but he was absolutely amazing! He took the time to walk me through every style Madewell offers, set me up in a dressing room, and gave me the kind of support you usually only get from a best friend.
Shopping alone can be tough, especially when you need that second opinion, but he hyped me up, made me feel confident, and helped me find jeans that I love. Yes, they’re a bit pricey, but the quality and the level of care from employees who truly go above and beyond make them worth every penny. Honestly, the shopping experience alone made this a five-star visit!”

“I have very recently reverted to Islam and I am in dire need of modest clothing. I went to a nearby mall, but I was extremely overwhelmed by everything. I checked online and discovered this boutique up the street. It’s a lovely boutique; clean, organized, and well stocked. I had zero pressure and the employees made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. The owner went out of her way to make me feel welcomed, offering advice and even showing me beautiful ways to wrap my hijabs. I had a Lou of questions and I felt like I took a few hours to shop and decide. Not once did I ever feel rushed, and never did the owner get annoyed. She was extremely patient and kind.
The boutique has everything from abayas, under caps and hijabs, to flowy pants, pant suits, everyday dresses/skirts, and blouses. So there’s something for all women, not just Muslim women. She also has jewelry and a nice selection of perfumes.
The merchandise is great quality and the prices are fair. I left with a great starter wardrobe for my new journey. I plan to return to get a few more dresses before I leave MN, however, she also ships nationwide.”
