I am not surprised that someone was shot in the parking lot. Pretty sure there is drug dealing going on here. I have heard conversations about drugs in the gym. Also weirdos hanging out by my vehicle hiding on the other side then walking around when I came out. One time when walking into the gym someone backed up very fast to try to run me over. I ran very fast to avoid getting hit. Avoid this gym at all costs if you value your life.

Kids getting shot by gunfire in the parking lot, towels unfolded left in laundry bins for members to pick from, filthy jacuzzi tubes and badservice since Marco left.

Prices are ridiculously high for what is presented. “Memberships” for the older folk is so sad and the rules are outrageous-they’re the gyms most committed and biggest group! You also have to pay to reserve and use the tennis courts??Besides that, the amenities are low tier. For a fitness center with rising prices, the gym equipment remains old and outdated. They can’t keep a full set of cycling straps for too long. Idk if people take them home or what but sometimes I’m left with using two right sided straps. Foam rollers have chunks missing and they shed on the carpet after usage. There has not been one day where I was at the gym and a lack of towels or sanitary wipes wasn’t an issue. I’m tempted to just bring my own bottle of wipes at this point. People bring their bags and jackets into the weight room even though there are signs posted. Weights are NOT returned correctly and the night staff certainly doesn’t do a check over to reset things. I came in three days straight in the morning and that Celsius can remained on the floor next to a machine all 3 days!! Speaking of floors, the floors are always dusty. If it is mopped, which is rare, the mop water smells like mold and water from the swamp. And when machines are broken they’ll remain that way for extended times.Locker room floors are usually wet throughout the day and obvious slip hazards. The upstairs level tracks are never vacuumed and you can see the dust and crumbs from a standing eye level. If you look up at the ceilings near the pool window, you’ll see missing ceiling tiles and holes. And Whenever there’s a rain storm, that’ll drip water onto the tracks. Sometimes buckets are there, sometimes just a bunch of rags thrown on the floor. You’ll never know so don’t run on the tracks after a rainy day. The first time I noticed, the duct work and wiring were so exposed. This has been a whole year for the ceiling being treated like that and I’ve been waiting to see if and when they’ll fix it.Parking lot should get patrols or something. They just added a a mobile camera station but I still see people racing into the parking lot and cutting across spots. Whether it’s at 5am or 7pm, there’s always someone with music blasting and going 30mph in the rows.I will say that the morning staff during the week are always prompt and hard working. It also seems like they’re picking up a huge amount of slack from the night time shift. It is amazing how efficient and hard working the woman who does the towels in the mornings goes but it’s sad how she’s always having to get them and work so hard JUST FOR TOWELS.Even though it’s a very convenient place (about 8 min from me), I am very tempted to go somewhere else at this point- especially with the raised prices and mediocre amenities. It doesn’t take much to just clean and update a place which is why I have hopes still but this is getting too much.

Honestly the upkeep at this gym is terrible the majority of the equipment is getting old and worn out the basketball court doesn’t have any balls and the never gets cleaned all issues that can potentially be fixed but the staff doesn’t seem to care.

The stench I smelt in the steam room has been following me since 9am. I think the staff do what they can to keep the men’s locker room clean, but people misuse the steam/sauna room. Some people think it’s their own personal room and have no care for anyone else’s cleanliness. I’ve seen a man come in the steam room and sit upside down (Dead serious) ??? Placing his nasty feet where someone would normally put their head. Shower curtains are growing mildew, Basketball courts are always packed or reserved. My membership was bumped up $10 due to the many “improvements” that have been made. I only see a declining and failing establishment. I think it’s time to dump this overly priced gym membership.

Very large facility. Great equipment. Not sure why it has lower star ratings. There are a lot of teens here at certain times, in the weight room. I prefer Woodbury location over Fridley.

My first time here & as soon as soon as I’m leaving the light skin Somali girl in the front is talking about me as I’m leaving to this Somali man with a chain, at the front desk, I remember was I’m working out & dude had staring problems, I don’t know y or what I did to her. But that was werid. Your job isn’t to talk about people. In the locker rooms I’m getting started down by this old East African women I think is Oromo as I’m trying to figure out the lockers. I go into the steam room & this other Somali girl is looking down at my legs yeah humans have hair on there legs then I get told by two people I don’t know that r are women that I look like a boy, it was humiliating & honestly hurt me. I am a Women BIOLOGICALLY! then this other Somali girl being a mean girl to me for no reason & I don’t even know, I’m never coming back here I didn’t like the vibe of this place but great facility nothing less. I don’t like how people just stare here arnt friendly & just I can’t explain if not a great vibe. People are not nice here at all ?

I have been coming to lifetime fitness since I was super young when it was northwest athletic club. The only good thing I’m going to say about this gym is the set up is great and the track is nice. The last 3 years… this gym has REALLY gone down hill. I pay $106 a month for a gym that is supposed to be “really nice.” More than 95% of the staff have no customer service skills… I mean as little as not even saying “hi” when they are scanning your card. It’s always dirty and always out of wipes in the work out areas. The club hours are absolutely ridiculous. I understood closing earlier when Covid was around but later hours would be great. It used to be 24 hours and now they close at 11pm during the week and 9pm on weekends which makes it difficult especially when I have a baby. Who comes at 4am? It would make more sense to open a little later and close at midnight! The thing that upset me the most was I barely use the steam room… I went in today at 10:43pm, I stay 8 min max, change and then leave. A lifetime worker comes in and tells me it’s closed and I got so upset. They decided now to close it early at 10:45pm which I didn’t know since I maybe use it once a month. I have never left the gym “after close” time. I don’t think it’s fair to change that for people who don’t abuse the privileges. I know there is soooo many women who stay out in the locker room, steam room, sauna, etc and then get in shower at 11. Enforce that to them rather then punishing members who aren’t. It’s not our fault that staff isn’t doing their job correctly. I never thought I would want to switch gyms but I’m highly considering leaving lifetime. There is a lot of nice gyms out there. I’d recommend to stay away from this one.

I'm reaching out to notify potential users of this organization that LIFETIME FITNESS has mandated a change of membership hours for all Silver Sneakers members. Effective January 1st 2024 all Silver Sneaker members will have hour restrictions from 9:30am to 3:30 pm plus they cannot utilize LIFETIME FITNESS on Saturdays unless they anti up $80/month. Basically, this is age discrimination and double dipping on Silver Sneaker members. Can't trust this organization as they keep changing their membership plans for all members.

This has been a great place to help with staying healthy ... especially as a senior citizen that still has to work full time. I've appreciated being able to come early in the morning. The club is not packed like in the evening and you can get through a workout routine in a short amount of time. However, they are now in the process of discriminating against us with a cavalier attitude that lacks dignity and respect. We don't understand how you would gain more profit by eliminating 1000 seniors at your Fridley location. We don't understand how you think we are taking up so much space in the early morning hours.Your "new program" of limiting our hours unless we pay the additional $80 to $100/month for full access could end up financially hurting you.We could all leave and you are out $30,000/month.We understand you are a business that needs to make a profit ... but on the backs of senior citizens with limited resources and of which many still have to work? How did Chris Lichtenberger sign his email to us ... "In Health" ... what an oxymoron.

Assalamu Alaikum ( Peace be upon you).Pro's: 1. Good facilities to train regardless if your into powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit and running. A good mix of young, middle aged and elderly so you always will find a crowd of people within your age range.2. Staff is cool. Young guys work hard.Cons: Maintenance at this gym is so bad, its borderline criminal.1. Equipment is poorly maintained, to where you get grease on your hands if you touch certain equipment.2. W/O area is hot, smells disgusting and has no A/C system.3. Treadmills are severely undermaintained and make it dangerous to run on certain treadmills.4. No updated or new equipment ever enters this gym.5. Wi-Fi obviously doesn't work half the time you enter this ''luxurious country club''6. The male locker rooms looks more like a call of duty battle map, than an actual locker room. When you step in there you travel to either Mogadishu or Baghdad. Half the people in this gym don't speak ENGLISH. Towels all over the floor, no towels on the towel racks. Steam room always smells like B/O and urine. Shower's are atrocious in terms of hygiene and quality. I would advise all to wear sandals when entering the shower area or you will get athletes foot. Hot tub is always under maintenance because it either doesn't work or when it does, it so hot you feel like a lobster burning alive (#Lobsterlivesmatter).Picture this in your mind; grown men walking around naked without towels, because all the towels are all over the floor. Its more like a nightmare than a locker room. The young men who maintain the locker room do their best, but they are woefully understaffed. Most pressing concern is the senior citizens who have to tread like turtles to avoid slipping in the shower area due to the constant flooding.7. In the general area, the hand sanitizer is always out and take days to be refilled. Same with wipes in the W/O area.8. A/C barely works...Its as if all the money goes to improve the image of the gym, without actually improving the gym. As a business owner myself, I understand the difficulties of running a business. Especially maintaining multiple properties. However, maintenance, hygiene and consistently improving your business's equipment, staff and mission is fundamentally important to the growth of your business. Any business owner knows this starts at the top with management and if it isn't present, then you know this is not managements priority. This gym obviously lacks all of those basic qualities that define American entrepreneurship. Instead its focused on selling you a $12 protein shake or chicken and rice for $20 bucks. I wouldn't mind if that money was going towards the gym, but it obviously isn't.Nobody in there right mind would call this gym a ''luxury country club''. From the outside it might look like it with the new parking lot and excellent architectural construction of the building, but inside, its rotting. Pretty much sums of the state of our country at the current moment. I see signs in this club all the time promoting protein powder, clothing, equipment and other miscellaneous items. I never see a sign promoting new and upcoming changes.I live 5 minutes away, so the convivence of accessing this gym is the only reason I attend. I would advise others to look towards other gyms or other lifetime locations with better management.Cordially,Abshir (The one granted a straight path to paradise).P.S.I don't require any apology or gym staff to offer to contact me. I follow the standard of my father George Washington when he said, '' Let your discourse with Men of Business be Short and Comprehensive''. Hopefully this review brings about some changes in this gym, if not no further reviews or comments are necessary.

This location almost feels like an LA fitness. The AC doesn’t work, so it’s hot here. The lifting area smells like B.O. The lifting area is humid. In the stretch area, one of the bars they have available to help you stretch, is just a PVC pipe. The locker rooms smell of bad B.O. as well and is hot and humid. There are some nicer things like basketball courts, pool, track and other courts, but the main lifting area is just not fun.Glad I only have to go here for a week, otherwise If this was the only lifetime around me, I’d drop it and go to LA fitness and save the money.

I love this location & Life Time in general! I joined only a few months ago and it already feels like a second home. Only request / area of opportunity would be for more plant-based (high-protein) options in the cafe, pretty please ?
