When I walk into a store, I always greet the employees. This is the first Target store I've been in, where I felt uncomfortable speaking. I Recieved a blank stare from the cashier. The lady at self check out I said good morning to twice, and got nothing. At that point I was unsure to ask them to help me find an item. I just grabbed what I seen, and got out of there.

Edit: they gave us back self check out :)
Just here to say the same thing as everyone else. Self check out is now "10 Items or Less." I tried to enter with 13 items and was told I had to go wait for a cashier, despite three self-check out lanes being empty lol. I understand there are rules and I respect it. However, if we're required to go to cashiers, please work on training cashiers. My cashier didn't know how to use the Red Card barcode so I had to charge my personal debit card. Ps, I miss the old self check out gal, she was so kind and helpful.
Edit: I also found a day later that this same cashier not only gave me an invalid gift card, but created it, scanned it during purchase, then voided it upon discovery of their mistake, but didn't tell me. Fortunately, Target support was able to re-fund me. Just shows training is dire here or please, for the love, give us self check out back.
Edit 3/29/24: Another cashier not knowing how to use RedCard barcode. Proper training needed by higher management at this Target.

They've put a 10 item limit on self checkout, and you'll end up standing in line way longer for a cashier. The cashiers seem unhappy and under trained. Some are really slow and confused, or seem annoyed that you exist. I had one randomly decided not to bag my stuff (without explaining that to me), then just turned around after I paid and started chatting with a coworker. I don't mind bagging my own stuff but it was really strange. This is all really uncomfortable when you have social anxiety and just want to get out of there

I ordered 5 pairs of girls leggings for work with drive up. I waited an hour or so and they told me that they were out of stock and I had to cancel the order. However something told me to go check for myself and lo and behold there was a whole stack of them in plain sight. I truly hate lazy people especially when there are so many other people who want/need the jobs that these incompetents are filling. DO BETTER!!
