Not checking mail when they put it in your mailbox to verify it's your correct mail. Also putting someone else's mail in your mailbox. Mail carrier is rude unprofessional. Puts mail on hold at the post office without your legal written consent!!!

The post office constantly decides that we won’t get our mail. They stop bringing it randomly and refuse to tell us what the issue is. I had to leave work to go pick up my wife’s medication that she is not able to go and get and was handed a packet with a notice saying they won’t deliver due to snow on it. They never gave me the notice at my home, only once I went in person. I have made sure there is a safe path for them to take but was told that they want a path through my lawn. I am not going to do that because there is absolutely no reason for that, they can use the shoveled walkway to get to my house. They suggested that I put a new mailbox in at the end of my sidewalk, it is winter in MN with 81 inches of snow so far this year, how incompetent does someone have to be to suggest you dig a post through frozen ground and 3 feet of snow and ice to make their job easier? I have filed complaints many times to many different people, those working at Glencoe retaliate against anyone who they perceive has mildly inconvenienced them. My family has medication and medical supplies mailed for various conditions that can be debilitating at times. The lack of communication, empathy, and downright disrespect towards my family is saddening. It is well past frustration and anger as they seem to do whatever they want to anyone they want especially those who speak out against them. It appears as though I am not the only one who deals with this in Glencoe. I am going to contact the district again and file more complaints with more people because there is no excuse for this level of negligence.

I only get my mail delivered sometimes. I will have packages marked as attempted delivery, package held at customer request, and mailbox non accessible on days the mailman never even came. I’ve never requested anything be held. If I complain- and I have formally more than once, it takes even longer for my mail to come. The people who live on each side of me will get their mail and I just get skipped. This happens all seasons of the year. It is retaliation. This problem isn’t exclusively to me. It seems to be citywide.

We have not received any mail for a week. I called two weeks ago and was told they are short of staff and that the best way to pick up our mail is to stop in and pick it up at the post office. We never had issues until the last three months or so. Now it is becoming a weekly problem. I doubt a business in town would accept this. We are in the country and we should receive it on time.

So, this review is hard to write because the actual people working in the office here are absolutely fantastic... the actual delivery has declined tremendously in the last year. Mail arrives later and later (per the informed delivery), and sometimes the mail is important and timely. So what prompted the review? I received a notification at 6:30pm that my package could not be delivered at 5:46 (when they claimed to have attempted), claiming it was due to lack of access to the door or the driveway... both of which are not correct as all snow and ice is removed from the paths (and driveway), nor are there any potential hazards prohibiting access (no dog in yard or furniture or anything). Our regular mail arrived prior to 5:30 with no problems and the mail box is directly next to the door. It is a holiday weekend so, there is no way to contact usps to figure out what is going on and it also means the possibility of my delivery being extended an additional four days. This week there isn't any weather issues either. I get it if they ran out of time or something, but the report places the issue on the consumer. And is a false statement.

My mail carrier wrote on our mail stating that we need to shovel a path from the street through our yard so that he can deliver our mail instead of using the shoveled path we've made going from our driveway to the front of our house where the mailbox is. My mail carrier wants to use a path that's covered in snow instead of the shoveled path that my husband has created so that our mail carrier, and the two of us for that matter, do not have to walk through the snow. This happened yesterday after it had been snowing for hours, as we were in a winter storm watch. I have a chronic medical condition that does not allow me to shovel, but my husband was going to - and DID-shovel as soon as he got home in the evening from his 12 hour shift out of town. I called to make a complaint to the post office and I had mentioned that I was concerned that my mail would be unnecessarily held as a retaliation to my complaints. Flash forward to today, the mail carrier did NOT deliver our mail that I was expecting, as seen in the email I received from USPS this morning. I believe that my concerns became true and that my mail carrier is retaliating against us for complaining, considering it did NOT snow today and the shoveled path was more clear today when we did not receive our mail than it was yesterday when we did receive our mail. All of our neighbors have similar or worse snow-covered paths, yet all of them received their mail today, which also leads me to believe this is a retaliation. We are considering paying for a PO box out of town instead of having our mail delivered to our house through this post office because of this. I am disheartened to see that there are 3 other reviews that look similar to what we have gone through. I have filed 2 formal complaints in hopes that other people do not have to go through this, though I am skeptical about them fixing this issue, seeing as it seems to be a common occurrence.

We love our local mail delivery lady! We don’t have a flag on our box so some sent mail stays there for a couple days. Other than that we’ve never had an issue.

Letter saying won’t deliver due to snow accumulation… the box is shoveled out and I could deliver the mail with a full size pickup truck… do you need driving lessons or do you just not want to do your job… I watched you drive up to the box and put this letter in there out of your vehicle just fine?
