I had a saving account with this bank that I opened years ago when they had a good interest rate. I stopped putting money into the account after the interest rate decreased considerably. A month ago I completed the paperwork to close the account and transfer the remaining funds, over $5000, to my credit union that I have an account with. The money was not transferred to my CU account after a week. I called the bank and was told that the paperwork was missed and was still on the recipients desk. I was told that it would be forwarded to the correct team ASAP. About a week and a half later, the bank called my wife and told her that they initiated the transfer. A month to the day I still have not received my money. I called and was told that the transfer was mistakenly put on hold. There was no explanation why. I asked if I could go to a local branch and get a cashiers check and was told that the local branch lobby hours are 9-3, so they would be closed by the time I get there. Again, I was told that the transfer will be started and that I will have the money in 3 days. These people are grossly incompetent at best and at worst .... well ready between the lines.

The most atrocious bank I've ever done business with. I had a dispute that I submitted to Choice Bank/Choice Financial Group. I provided proof, sent it on time (within 60 day timeframe) made sure to dot the i's, cross the t's. I was rejected without explanation, something commonplace at Choice Bank. Choice Bank violates Regulation E daily. If you need to make a formal complaint with a regulator regarding Choice Bank's nefarious business practices, submit it to FDIC, as the Fe

I was with this bank when they were small and had terrible customer service because it was 2 post-retirees doing everything from Grafton. Now they're larger, but terrible in new ways (i.e. lots of fees). Find a more convenient bank or a credit union with low fees, or go with this bank and get the best of no worlds!

We have been with Venture now for 3 or 4 years and came from B of the West. It has been great. Kris G our banker answers emails on Sat and Sun and does more than lend money, he also gives advice on how to and which way to go. I know its a business and they need to make money, I also am not afraid to pay some money for those services and service. As banking goes, they grow and say they will keep a customer focus, thus far they have. The one time we have had an issue with a failed process, I received a call from the President while he was at a wedding explaining and offering support. Great bank - Great people.

I'm not sure in what way small is powerful, but I can tell you from experience that small is EXPENSIVE. Because Venture Bank is so small they have to process most of their financial transactions through big banks like US Bank. Since US Bank charges for these services Venture Bank has to charge even higher fees in order to make a profit. This problem is compounded by the fact that Venture Bank makes major concessions in its service fees to its largest customers (to lure them away from other banks) and then looks to recoup those losses from its smaller mom-and-pop customers ... because when it comes to being a bank customer, BIG is powerful.
