“I spend a part of every summer month on the shore and do a TON of driving. I thought I needed a new tire and instead of overselling me, Tire and Auto told me they did have a tire for me, but could also just patch the old one for 1/2 the price of a tire. They got me in right away and did a thorough job. Drove around town for the following week and then back to Chicago and the patch is still holding. I wish these were my local guys. Almost worth the drive back up just for the honesty and seamless experience. Thanks for keeping me safely on the road!! 5 stars.”
“We were up the Gunflint trial and I knew something serious had happened to my brakes. I have an older Ford Excursion and it was a Friday. We got down to Grand Marais Motors and were greeted with a helpful young man who said he could not get us in but would look at it and see what recommendations he could give us. While I waited I watched another young employee help a lady top off her oil and a guy come get a vehicle that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with so they didn't charge him. The people working there were so patient and helpful. They have everything you could need to get you by in a pinch. I was able to get one of my brakes to shut off, to get me down the road with some suggestions. The guy said they leave the last hour of each day as open as possible for traveler emergencies. This small town customer service was such a gift to someone 8 hours from home. I would do any business possible with them as they are wonderful people who do not take advantage of someone out of state or out the area.”

“I blew a tire on my car out in the wilderness near Grand Portage. After putting the spare on in Grand Portage I made an emergency stop at Steve’s Sports and Auto. They were able to put a gently used tire on my car very quickly and for a good deal. The staff were very friendly and caring about my situation and made sure I left in good hands!”
