It seems to be a common thread of people having tire issues! It's not surprising since many fun roads aren't paved. My daughter and I experienced our tire pressure going down fast while we were exploring. Thank goodness for run flats. We got to this service center (Saturday) and Andrew was a Godsend. He fixed the tire very quickly and pressure tested it. We are very lucky to have found this place. BTW, the tire center near by was closed. I honestly have no idea what we would have done if not for this place being open and so helpful! PS We also had our dogs with us and although they are not dog friendly, they made an exception since it was very cold outside. Talk about going over and above!!! A+++++++++

Took my Suburban in for multiple problems. They fixed an AC problem, check engine lights and others. They had a mechanic that explained all that was done and charged a reasonable price.

Only a couple auto parts places in town. Prices were higher than normal, which I guess is expected. Friendly service, and they did loan me an oil funnel to use.

On our way back from a 5-day trip on the Gunflint, our tire pressure light came on. Got in to Grand Marais and checked it, and it was at about 15. Stopped into Auto Value (day after Labor Day, mind you), and they were extremely busy, but the guy said they'd be able to have it patched and ready to go in about an hour. We walked down to the lake and got lunch, came back and it was fixed and we were back on the road. Quick, professional, walkable to lots of stuff if you have to kill an hour or two while you wait.

Losing a pound of air , every three weeks, Auto Value in Grand Marais found the tiny nail in our tire, removed it , and patched the hole. On the road again, no worries. Thank you , Andrew !

Steve and his crew came through once again. I had a tire go bad just south of Grand Marais on my to the end of the Gunflint Trail. Despite being incredibly busy they got a new set of tires ordered, mounted and ready to go when I absolutely needed to be heading south.
Steve and his crew really came through!

We were scheduled for an early morning departure (6/7/24) and an at least 8-hour ride home. Other family members left for home as we stayed behind in town and hoped to snag an impromptu early morning repair. First through the door, we were very pleased to find an informative and charming Andrew behind the counter and Dave, the skillful mechanic in the shop, who quickly worked their magic to diagnose and repair our car. Dave figured it out quickly and we were relieved to be on our way home very much sooner than we feared. The service was great and the price was very fair. We give Auto Value Grand Marais our highest recommendation. Their personable, communicative, efficient, intelligent, helpful, and professional staff speak highly for Auto Value Grand Marais and for the town of Grand Marais.

FAST tire repair on my truck. $32 for a tire patch, after spending $40 on a tire plug at Bobby & Steve's that didn't hold.
I wouldn't hesitate to do business here again.
