Not a safe place to go if you have small pets or children . They have a pack of 5 huge dogs that belong to the owners and that run lose .The three white dogs are mean and come into the campground and try to fight with the dogs that campers must keep on a leash. I saw one guy have to beat the white dogs off with a stick as they tried to get at his little dog. I had to help a woman get away from them . They were trying to get at the little dog she was carrying back to her camper .

I am rating ONLY the lounge downstairs for their food. We were camping somewhere else and came here for lunch. My wife had a hamburger on Texas toast with bacon, onion rings and BBQ sauce. I had a Reuben sandwich with onion rings. The Reuben was one of the best I have ever had. Simply fantastic. My wife loved her hamburger. Great atmosphere and fantastic service!

We stopped in with our company from out of town. We got a few appetizers that were outstanding. Personal was very friendly and the service was great. The lodge was beautiful, and I can not not wait to go back.

The food was decent and prepared quickly. The location was very beautiful and remote as promised. The camp/RV sites were just too small and packed too close together. It was not a pleasant place to camp. I could hear my neighbors fart. Their space was so small they had no choice but to stick 6' of RV into my space. I live in a first ring suburb of Minneapolis and I have more privacy in my backyard than I did camping at Hungry Jack.

Only went to the restaurant and am so glad we did. Absolutely delicious food and a great environment. Pizza, awesome. Burger, awesome. Fish sandwich, awesome. Hot chicken sandwich, awesome. If up on the Gunflint Trail this is THE place to eat at. You don't need to be dating there to eat there, the resident will serve the public. Great views of Hungry Jack Lake out the back too.

Didn't stay overnight here, but we were staying at another outfitter before our canoe trip the next morning and looking for dinner quite late. Hungry Jack Lodge was the only place still open. We called ahead because we were going to arrive right at closing time (8pm on a Tuesday), and they happily took our order. When we arrived, there was a beautiful view on the back patio, our food was ready, served right away, and delicious, and they allowed us to order a few drinks to boot! Would recommend :).
