WEIRD...followed us all over the store. Asked me if I wanted help 7 times. Store stunk like "sniker-doodle coffee" that gave me a headache. Used to have everything. Now they have annoying employees. What happened?

This place is awesome! I am overwhelmed every time I go in here at all the products they carry. Their prices are very reasonable too! The new owners have done a great job of maintaining the old and bringing in some new items. The coffee is my main purchase every trip. It is by far the best!!! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out!

There are a lot of little treasures in Grand Marais, and Joynes is definitely one! It's a small-town department store, so it has a little bit of everything, but its quality is superior. Great selection of sweatshirts and hoodies and other souvenirs. They sell top quality shoes and jackets and even have Dale of Norway sweaters, if you are not familiar with it, you're not ready for it. ;) And they sell top quality whole bean or ground coffee! Don't overlook this downtown must see.

I love this store. and have all my life. HOWEVER, as of late, it’s been lacking in the LEGO department. a whole shelf dedicated to star wars?? listen, i like star wars as much as the next guy but PLEASE get some Ninjago sets up in there! Ninjago is the best LEGO genre, and the fact that my favorite department isn’t even acknowledging it, leaves me highly offended! #love #Ninjago4eva

Absolutely over priced, and not so Minnesota nice staff. I was floored when I found out the coffee beans they were selling were roasted out of Illinois, and $20 a pound! Get over yourselves Joyner!

If you need it, Joynes will most likely have it. If they don't have it, you most likely don't really need it. This store blew my mind. It was a shopping experience that took me back to the old fashioned Ben Franklin I grew up with a mix of modern day boutique. I don't think there are many stores where you can buy craft supplies, children's unique toys, running shoes, maple syrup and Pendleton sweaters and blankets. I will agree with some of the other reviewers and say that the prices are on the high side. Being from the Mid-West I thought all prices in Minnesota were higher. However, I understand much of the areas I was visiting were tourist towns, or remote areas and that alone explains the price increases. Being a small town and a tourist town, the staff was attentive and friendly. They made shopping a fun and pleasant experience. If you're in Grand Marais, you've got to at least walk through this store and be amazed with the variety of merchandise.

We went in for a pot and came out with almonds, clothes, coffee and campfire supplies. Just what I hoped would happen and we had a blast!

I was so happy to find out that the owners of this store were previously the owners of the White Birch shop. I have fond memories of going into the White Birch store and seeing the holiday decorations. They always had a unique collection of teas and fresh ground coffee. I recommend to try the Snickerdoodle, my mom always buys some when we are in Grand Marais. I was excited for my mom to find out that they had purchased this Ben Franklin so my mom could get her coffee. I hope that they bring back the boutique tea pots and dishes and also the Candy selection! They also had a collection of unique clothes that were really nice. I am looking forward to see the new selections they add as I come up and visit again and again.

Very disappointing, never gave 1star before, I guess the new owners no longer stand behind what they sell. I tried to return a defective pair of sandles. Grossly over dyed turned everything black. Feet, carpeting, tub. Local store where I shopped for 50 years and have liked the products and services

An excellent, all-around store in Grand Marais, with a rich history and busy, yet organized, atmosphere. They stock everything from soup to nuts, and they are particularly known for their well-made winter clothing lines, shoes, boots, sandals, and outdoor cooking supplies. Many categories of goods ensure that you will not leave empty-handed. Prices are reasonable, and significantly lower than some other merchants near the same street.

Pendleton shirts for men- just don't find quality shirts like these anyplace anymore but this place has them. A great old store that still has a need in this community. Well stocked, pleasant staff.
