Poplar Haus Restaurant, Bar & Cabins is a hidden gem and a great spot a bit off the beaten path on the Gunflint Trail, overlooking Poplar Lake. It features an amazing modern yet outdoorsy ambiance with beautiful and cozy comfort. The menu is unique, thoughtful, made from scratch, and delicious, with food described as incredible and exceptional. Guests highly recommend the Haus Burger and note the french fries are excellent and unique. It is a perfect place to eat after a hike or fish, and a staple for visitors to the North Woods. The atmosphere is welcoming and down to earth, with amazing views and a beautifully designed space that is a treat in both summer and winter. The attached cabins, like the Forager, are very cozy. The staff is noted as top-notch, friendly, and attentive.
Absolutely loved the Poplar Haus! We had the spinich artichoke dip, BLT and fries and the truffle Mac/cheese. Our server, Casey, was phenomenal and so sweet and friendly. If you haven't been here yet, I highly suggest you check it out. 10 out of 10 stars! We will definitely be back.

We recently stayed and dined at Poplar Haus, and had a wonderful time! The food, drinks, and service are exceptional and we loved the cozy cabin overlooking Poplar Lake. It’s a great spot to get out on the water or relax by a fire. We will continue going back again and again!
