We purchased a tritoon from Mike along with Wave Armor decking and lift. He along with the service dept guys and the delivery/setup guys were amazing to work with. Any time we called needing something they came and helped us. All their employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. It was our pleasure to make our purchase with them at Grand Rapids Marine!

We had the pleasure of renting a fishing boat for our annual family fishing trip. What an awesome team at the Marina to work with. They where all friendly and explained what we needed to fix another boat . The aluma craft we rented was a beautiful boat and we would do it again! Thank you Grand Rapids Marine !!

My boat had trouble upon arrival at Satkps resort after a 12 hr drive to get there. Arrived only minutes before GR Marine closed that Saturday and they not only got me the part but explained how I could fix the problem so we didn't have to wait until Monday for a repair service.

5 days ago I left a 1 star review because I wasn't happy with the repair/service I recieved. Then I got a call from Mike Holmstrom and he explained things to me kindly and professionally. They ordered more parts and fixed my boat finally. Mike kept in touch daily with progress and that made all the difference in the world. I'm changing my review up to 5 stars. I'm a boomer and I still believe in customer service. Good job guys!!!

I'm in town for a week long fishing trip and was having issues with my motor. They got me in the same day and had me out the door in an hour! Unbelievable service! I can't recommend them high enough.

Luke and Dan in the service department were incredible. We were on our way on a fishing trip to Canada and experienced a boat trailer bearing problem. I called and Luke told me to bring it right in, then he and Dan teamed and worked us into the schedule on short notice and got our problem fixed. Their commitment to customer service saved our fishing trip! I can’t recommend them enough!

Talk about coming to the rescue and going the extra mile! Seth and Dan in your service department saved my weekend and probably my spring!
A week before fishing opener is not the time to discover that your engine tilt isn’t working. But that’s how I started my Saturday morning when I went to hook up my boat in Minneapolis. The whole way up to Grand Rapids, my cabin of 50 years is on Wabana, I was playing out the scenarios of what it could be and where in the world I could take it to get it looked at. And how many weeks would that take? There goes the best of spring fishing!
If you fish, you always have some hope. That live well never drains completely dry. So, as long-shots go, I called your service shop as I was entering Grand Rapids around 11:30 am. I left a message, but didn’t expect a call back today being it was a Saturday and you close at 1 pm. Two stop lights later Dan calls me back, all chipper and eager to help, which is real tonic to a desperate boat owner.
We played out some scenarios and concluded it was probably the relays. I was going to ask if I could leave it there on my way back to Minneapolis, but he said he had a guy here who’s a real genius and could give it a quick look if I could get there in the next 20 minutes. I replied, choking back a tear, “Really! Ok. Wonderful!” I hung up and took the first left
past God’s Country and started exceeding the speed limit as I backtracked to GRM.
“No freaking way,” I said to my wife sitting next to me, “They can look at it right now.” She eyed me suspiciously as if to say, “What have you been smoking?”
Seth met me in the in front of the service door and within 5 minutes had it diagnosed. He showed me the burn holes in the relays and explained how they can fail in cascading fashion. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any left in stock, but they checked with a competitor and found they had a bunch. I raced over there bought three and flew back with about 20 minutes before closing time. Seth waited for me, installed and tested the tilt, hooked my boat back up and that was that. Fixed and ready to go.
What I experienced is something old-fashioned. Those of us in business and marketing call it the merchant mentality. Too often today what most of us encounter is known as the bean-counter mentality. One really cares about you and the quality of the service or product they offer. The other, well, as the name implies, they care about the money.
I will conclude this lengthy letter of commendation and praise by stating emphatically that GRM is a true merchant. And that is a rare thing in 2025.
