This place is an actual joke! I ordered the shed from Home Depot about a month ago and the floor was on back order, after three times of having it rescheduled they finally built their own floor for me and shipped it out with the shed. Once I got the product I started building the shed and noticed at all the wood had to be sistered in instead of sending 120 in which is 10 ft they would send out 3 ft with a 7 ft board to sister them together. Half the 2x4 boards they sent out weren't even straight even, they might have served a thousand people but they're getting sloppy at their job. Very disappointed with the product for the price. You're better off building this on your own for the price!!!

I called to see if I could have someone come out to give me a quote to have a shed built. I was told that they don't do that and could give me a quote over the phone. OK, I asked the lady who answered about what is stated on their website about needing 4 feet of working room on all sides of the shed. I would have to have the shed 2 feet off of the garage to meet the required setback from the property line. She then started trying to tell me that the city will not let me put it that close to the garage and that I would need to have a firewall installed (wait, what?) or that the city would make me move the shed. I told her that I have reviewed my cities ordinances many times on where I can put a shed and there is nothing that says I can't do it. I also told her that there are several sheds in my neighborhood where a shed is right against the garage wall. Then she started getting snippy with me. All I asked for was to have someone come out and give me a quote so that we could review the location and to discuss options since everyone's situation is different. I also had other questions that would only be better discussed on site, but I didn't even get to that point since I felt it was a lost cause with this person. I have a good friend who also lives in the same city that I do, just had a shed built by this company, which gave me the idea to call them. Too bad they weren't able to work with me, I was ready to start the process. It would have been nice to have a sales person who could meet to review the location of work and answer questions.

We had 2 older sheds that needed replacing. One also had a foundation that was falling apart. So we decided to build a 12x16 shed to replace them. After visiting several places to look at sheds we decided on Backyard Building Systems. They build onsite to order. You can add options: wider doors, windows, trim, interior shelving, etc... We added windows, wider doors and shelving. The prices were comparable or lower than others but the quality was much better. Very sturdy. Our only issue was that the trim had two gaps but we caulked with paintable trim and it is fine now. The shed comes primed but the trim is bare wood. Very easy to paint. Staff was easy to work with and patient during question. I just wished they offered more shingle colors.

Moved a shed to my home. Very tight fit to place and he's an expert! If you need a shed moved in the area, he's the guy.

The roof on our 2014 Savannah storage shed caved in from the snow on 3/13/23. I Cannot get a hold of the owner. I have tried several times to call him I have left messages. Lord help me.Service: Garage design & building

These folks are very easy to work with. Options are all itemized on their web site along with associated pricing. There was no pressure to add options I didn't inquire about.I am an engineer so my standards are high and I needed to remind myself that this is a garden shed and not the "Tajma Hall"...with that said the shed is very stout (well built) and I am confident it will last for many years to come and that is what matters.The installers were prompt and polite.Services: Storage shed design & building

No Stars. Went there today and the Woman would not help us.I opened the door to the office and was greeted by a barking dog. The Woman said Hello, and when I asked for a flyer with prices she said they dont have any. We proceeded outside to look at the sheds and she never came out to help us. Drove over to Tuff Sheds in Savage and had an awesome experience,Service: Custom shed design

*LOOK NO FURTHER*If you're comparing prices and quality of a shed then Backyard Building Systems is hands down the best.Other big name companies do not compare.We have searched all over MN and other states for a quality built on site shed and we are very happy we went with this company.Barb was so lovely to work with. She answered all of our questions throughout this process. Her customer service is superb.Our builder, Christian, built our Americana shed piece by piece in a day. His workmanship is phenomenal.There are so many features offered such as windows, vents, shelving, etc.For what the prices are going for these days we highly recommend adding the features to your shed.Just like it says on their website "our team has specialized in the construction and distribution of quality built storage sheds."Absolutely agree with this.In our pictures you'll see the Americana 10x12x11 shed.Thank you Barb & Christian!
