Hate this place staff is rude as hell about the whole mask thing if your having trouble breathing you should be aloud to take it off and catch your breath not here the mask police come running over and yell at you I've been in different Menards and there kind and ask if they can help I understand the whole mask deal but do they really have to be rude and yell like your robbing the place I go into this store as little as possible now and do a lot of my business elsewhere now

I just left the Hermantown Menards and had to take a moment to rave about the incredible service I received! I came in feeling totally overwhelmed—I’ve never tackled any kind of home project on my own before. We were picking up a remnant countertop and a tile kit for my bathroom, and I truly had NO idea what I was doing.
Thankfully, Haley in the paint department and Caleb in the countertop section were absolute lifesavers. Haley was so kind and patient, and Caleb went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t walk out with the wrong materials. Without his help, I would’ve been completely lost!
To top it all off, two amazing young men helped us load the countertop into our van, and they did it with such care and friendliness.
Huge shoutout to the Hermantown team—thank you for making what could’ve been a stressful experience feel totally manageable. I’m unbelievably grateful for your help and kindness!

I purchased screen doors that were clearly marked as 36x80” but when I got them they were 77.5. I tried to return them but I was told that I will be charged 25% restocking fee which would be almost a $100. I was told by Mathew that this was fair for Menards because they “eat the 75%”. But LAUREN takes the top for being the most RUDE manager that I have EVER spoken with! She told that I should have used a desktop to place my order and then told me that I should have come into the store to place my order although I had spoken with someone from Menards but didn’t get a call back because they were also confused by the advertisement. In addition, at some point she just walked away. One guy went to measure the door to make sure I was telling the truth but then to still tell me that I needed to pay the fee because at the bottom of the description, it said only comparable with American Standard brand. He didn’t care that the advertisement said 80” but the door was 77.5. He said that I should have know that 80” is for the opening, not the actual door. When I tried to contact customer support, I learned that this can only happens through fax, mail, or their portal and they can take up to 30 days to respond. Mathew from Menards, thought this was convenient. Also, when I was looking for customer support phone number, I learned that Menards had a lawsuit against them in 2024 for misadvertising. I used to like Menards but there’s no way that I will shop there anymore. The customer service sucks! If a customer has an issue, good luck because there will be no help.

Menards is probably about 10 times the size of the average Home Depot. In the states where it is located it is by far the best option. Go for yourself and see what you've been missing.

Menards is a fantastic home retail option with a large variety of products. As an individual that was introduced to Menards a few years ago, I didn't have the exposure for many years. I've typically been to other national and local home retailers. My experience at Menards has been amazing from food items, to cleaning supplies, to regular home goods to large home projects. This is a great one stop shop for many items.

Drove 270 miles from Upper Michigan to get sound insulation. No one closer had it. Called before we left to get it, still in stock. We even pre ordered and payed for it so they would have it. Didn’t have it when we got there. All they said was their inventory must be wrong.
Basically told us life sucks for you. Would have drove to Eau Claire had they checked their inventory and not just off the computer like we asked.

If you want help in the building materials department, you should go somewhere else. I took sku # and quantities and the guy told he doesn't know how to do it....
