I like using this bank for my personal accounts. The only issue I have is that the change rolls we get for the business I work at are always taped up. The tape makes it difficult for me and my coworkers to unravel the rolls and takes up more time than necessary to do so. I would be very appreciative if there was a way for you guys to have tape-free change rolls like you used to, but I also understand if it's out of your jurisdiction.

I was an American Bank customer for over 15 years? I think? I've had them as my bank for as long as I can remember. The recent switch to Parks State Bank has now finally made me make the decision to close my account and get an account at Wells Fargo.I never had an issue with the American Bank app. Now that it is Park State Bank, I have nothing BUT issues. Charges show up and then disappear and my account balance is not up to date for a few days after any transactions. One time it took a week for it to finally show the correct balance. I have a debit card and do automatic withdrawals. I very, very rarely use checks. I understand that automatic withdrawals sometimes take a few days, but there is no reason they should post, be removed, then post again. I thought maybe it was a glitch and recently it hasn't been as bad....However, just a couple of days ago, I logged into my account to find out that 2 charges had been denied by them because I did not have enough in my account- which was fine with me (netflix charged me twice- which I had to call and resolve with them and they have since reimbursed me). Keep in mind that I have 2 notifications that my bank DENIED the charges. Since I didn't think it would be an issue (netflix could wait until Friday), I did not add any money to the account. I checked later in the afternoon again (I just had a feeling) and both of those charges went through- bringing my account to a negative balance. Annoyed, but not upset, I transferred money into the account to bring the account to a positive value. I then made a transaction for an emergency ear medication for my daughter and had no issues with my debit card since my account was still showing a positive value (the bank tried to tell me that it would have gone through anyways, but my debit card gets declined when there is not money in the account). My account was now positive and I didn't think there would be any issues. My direct deposit was set to go into the account this Friday and I didn't have any other automatic withdrawals that I was aware of. Unfortunately, later that evening I checked my account again to see if the netflix reimbursement (for the second charge) had gone through and much to my dismay found TWO NSF charges of $30.00 each, totaling $60. My account was now negative again because the bank charged me NSF for the 2 charges they denied but then let go through, even though I had promptly added money to the account.I've had to pay the NSF plenty of times without anger or retribution because I knew it was MY error that caused it. But this time, i'm not ok with the charges based on the circumstances. I have been trying to get ahold of the bank since this took place and have not been able to get through. I was able to reach someone at the Nashwauk location who sent me to a voicemail that was never returned. I finally got ahold of someone using the messaging on the app and they were not helpful, understanding nor reimbursed me. This is the second complaint I have had to stoop to making a review about online because that seems to be the only way this company will respond.I have already opened another account and will be closing my Parks State Bank as soon as able. I would not recommend this bank.

I had a great experience getting a mortgage through Park State Bank! I worked with Casey and she made sure that I was informed and understood everything related to my home purchase. Everything was done in a timely manner and she went above and beyond for my fiancée and I! Thanks Casey and Park State Bank for making our first home buying experience great!

I use this bank daily, as it’s my works bank and I miss the old girls from American Bank! They were prompt and friendly, and rarely made mistakes with my change order. Now that park state bank has taken over, they are slow, ;I just sat in the drive thru for 8 minutes with no one addressing me) short with you and mess up my change order frequently. I understand being short staffed, but first impressions last, and it’s not a great impression Park State!

They have d*** and dumber in there drive through. You have to ask for the balance on you account when you do a deposit. The only reason I bank there is because they are open on Saturday’s and after 5:30. They were wonderful and didn’t screw up accounts when they had Walmart branch. I here they are screwing up everyone’s accounts during coved-19. They can’t find your account if you have a hyphenated name. At one time they had taken my mother off her account and put my cousin on her account because they had the same name.

The local account managers used to work with you when you mistakenly over drafted. Now that everything is computerized that is no longer the case. I don't know about you, but I don't look at my accounts daily or sometimes even weekly. There was a time that they would notice and contact you! No more they just want their fees. Won't accept any excuses just racking up the fees.

They are doubling the interest rate on our card with very little notice. What?! It’s been locked on the same APR for nearly 10 years!
