“Adam and team went above and beyond repairing my vehicle! I had taken my car to Gerber Golden Valley about two weeks ago to do an out of pocket repair on a small plastic trim piece on the interior of my car, something that just needed to be removed and replaced.

Unfortunately, after going to get the vehicle there had been noticeable damage down to the primer on the interior paint. There were dents as well done by tools on the top of the door frame. I gave them two attempts to repair the car, however the paint job was botched and uneven. Eventually I picked the car up and was at a loss.

I contacted the Gerber corporate team and spoke with a few people who put me in touch with Adam. I wanted someone who would take my car and make it look 100% how I brought it originally and treat it like their own car. Adam is the type of guy you need in a significantly higher position than where he currently is, he's severely under utilized and his level of customer service warrants a title and pay raise. He totally 180'd the previous experience I had and restored faith in this company.

He arranged a loaner and paid the daily cost for me right away. We had a slight issue where enterprise had not heard from them to cover an additional day, however I called the front desk and within one minute she had resolved this. Additionally, Adam replaced components that were damaged from buffing and even took out scratches on the vehicle the other location did not even do out of his generosity. The detailer mentioned they spent several hours cleaning the vehicle, which is a huge kudos to them as well. The entire team was fantastic. Adam communicated with me every step of the way, even bringing his team in on the weekend to make this right.

I hope corporate, and all future customers, see this review and know they can put 150% confidence in Adam and his entire team. Everyone here should be recognized for their phenomenal customer service, quality work, and genuine kindness. I know this was frustrating to many of them for the late hours and long weekends, but please know I will value it more than you can realize.

I dropped my vehicle off Monday morning and the entire process felt smooth and easy. Communication was clear and each step was detailed and explained well. “The bumper on my vehicle was slightly knocked off from a hit and run and Brian was generous enough to take the time to remove the bumper and clip it back on. He did this free of charge when I stopped into the shop and it took about 15 minutes. I am so grateful because another quote I got would have been at least $1,000 to fix the bumper, but the damage didn't seem significant enough for it to be completely replaced. “Wonderful service! My car's drivers-side door (2010 Honda Civic), was creaking and popping for the last few days and today it stopped opening entirely without forcing it. Originally took it to Youngestds in Waconia to have it looked at but after examining it they recommended I bring it here instead. We found out that the front panel and my driver's door were clicking because they had been bent inwards. Initially I was super worried that the costs of fixing this were going to be more and with the holidays right around the corner, the last thing I needed was an expensive car repair. After a quick phone call they said they could get me in and give me an estimate for the costs. Once we dropped off the car, one person came to greet us and get a quick look at the car. Afterwards, she went back inside and got another gentleman who came out with one tool. That one tool instantly solved the problem! He managed to wedge it in between the door and front panel and gently pop out the bend that was causing the door to not open. The entire ordeal took less than 5 minutes and they didn't even charge me. I am super grateful that this problem could be easily mended with two kind souls and one little tool. I will definitely return for any other repairs (hopefully not expensive ones 😉) that my car may need.Thanks a bunch you guys, definitely made my day! Happy holidays! 🩷”

“Incredibly honest and considerate business. Shout out to Ramin specifically, I brought my car to repair a broken mirror and his attention to detail identified an oil leak that almost spelled the death of my car, which I and my friends rely on. He referred me to a mechanic that he trusts who also took very good care of my car. Ramin and/or his crew also fixed an annoying looseness in my side mirror that I was more than willing to just deal with, AND Ramin came with me to my car to make sure the mirror’s angle was to my liking before I departed.

The people here are doing amazing work for an incredibly fair price. If you have issues with them, I recommend trying introspection first. As long as I am in Minnesota and need body repairs on my car, I am coming to Oscar Auto Body.”

“I love this place! More and more rare to find such awesome customer service. After my front license plate and bracket had been stolen, the new bracket came with rivets I couldn’t install on my own. After a dealership told me I could wait in line behind everyone else and it may take hours, I checked to see what was nearby, crossed my fingers and drove over to the downtown Minneapolis Caliber Collision. They were so busy, I couldn’t even pull into the parking area. When I explained my problem, I was assured that they could help me, and a mechanic immediately went out to my car on the street, using their own screws instead of the cheap plastic rivets. Everyone was so friendly and when I tried to pay, I was told that a good review was all the payment they wanted. I am so impressed with this company!”

“I'd like to give LaMettry's 5 stars for effort alone, but I can't. Having my car in for a repair after an accident in which the other driver drove into the side of my car, LaMettry's took exactly 6 months to the day to get my car repaired. My car is German, and shipping delays accounted for a month's wait time. It took another month to complete the repairs and repaint the side of the car. So why 6 months and not 2 months? LaMettry's kept getting things wrong. Repeatedly. To their credit they always wanted to make it right. The car needed to be repainted three times. Panels or doors kept not being aligned properly. A lot of details kept being missed, or they'd fix one and then create another, or forget about one more thing. I believe I had the car back in to their shop at least six more times over those additional 4 months, and it was only completed on the 6 month anniversary of when I originally dropped the car off because I contacted the general manager and told him it was the 6 month anniversary since I'd dropped the car off. He had me bring the car in that day for the last item to fix, something I'd been waiting on for a month, despite his weekly updates on why it couldn't be done during that month.

LaMettry's was my only real choice for where to get my car repaired, since they're the only shop in town certified to work on my brand of car, and since the repair was serious, involving body/frame damage, and the car was relatively new (under 10K miles), I wanted the repairs to be as close as possible to how it was out of the factory, which is what those certifications are for.

So I'll rank LaMettry's like this (out of 5 stars):

“This place is awesome! Very reasonably priced and great customer service. They even cut a new piece of glass for me at no charge after the first one cracked at some point in the car (in the frame). They are willing to do small jobs for you while you wait and are great to work with. I recommend calling ahead since their job takes them offsite frequently during the day. For one of my orders, I dropped it off one afternoon and it was ready the next morning. Will definitely continue to use them!”
