UNFI Grocery Distribution Center

Warehouses
Hours: UNFI Grocery Distribution Center receives mixed reviews from delivery drivers. Experiences vary significantly, with some reporting efficient service and others noting long delays. Several drivers mention having appointments, often in the early morning, and checking in at a guard shack or security window. For some, the process is smooth; they receive a dock door quickly and are unloaded in a reasonable time, with polite and courteous security and receiving staff. Unloading can be quick, and the lumper fee payment is handled via text message. However, other reviews describe lengthy waits, sometimes receiving a dock door an hour or more after their scheduled appointment time. The driver amenities are limited, with only porta potties available, though vending machines are present. Overnight and waiting parking is available in the lot outside the fence or on nearby side streets. While some drivers highly recommend the place due to a great personal experience, they acknowledge that many others have had very bad experiences, suggesting operations can be inconsistent. Directions advise using the Excelsior exit and proceeding with caution over the train tracks to the security checkpoint.
