“Jay” was just here. Would not listen to my questions- was more interested in looking around my house than helping me learn how to run a softener. Then charged me $16.89 for the 1 bag of salt he poured in the softener. Am angry with myself for using this scammer.

I had a positive experience with Jay fixing my leaky softener and doing a service. Very friendly and knowledgable about softners.

Wish I'd read the reviews. $190 to tell me I need a new unit but they will credit it off a very expensive new unit. SCAM

Jay for Surge is a Shyster! He came in to “fix” the water softener and had absolutely no effect. He charged extra for “sanitizing” the brine tank and doing some other useless things. Unfortunately, trusted him so I was working upstairs while he “fixed” downstairs. The final bill was $369! After we tested the water it was obvious that he did absolutely nothing of value. When a real water softener technician from Peterson Salt & Water actually fixed the system, he said that the bypass valve was open, the settings were way off for what we needed and that there was a part that needed to be replaced. Instead of quickly saying that we should replace the system, he knew enough to fix it. His final bill was only $169. He still have soft water. We highly recommend Peterson Salt & Water. We vehemently DO NOT recommend Jay from Surge.

Experience with service call.Call these guys to your house at your own peril. I wish I had read some reviews before I called them. I thought I was calling the service department for Surge Water Softener, but these two Jokers from Water Conditioning Inc. came to my house. They seemed like nice guys, but they have a good scam going on. They will charge you for a service call ($180 in my case for same day) and recommended that an additional $99 power wash may “fix” your problem, but it will not. The “power wash” will take 2 hours for the softener to run the regenerate cycle, after they are long gone, and the unit will be in the same condition they met it. They convince you that if the “fix” doesn’t work, they can apply the full amount you pay them as “credit” towards an overpriced replacement they offer. If you need to replace the unit, you likely wouldn’t go with their offering, so their “credit” is no good. So, because I called these jokers, they spent less than 30mins at my house, I paid them $278 and received zero value in return.I was upset and called the Jay guy the next day to complain and he gave me a spill about still having to pay the doctors when they treat you for cancer even when they are unsuccessful removing it. He also threatened me that he will put a lien on my house if I were to rescind payment.

I had a surge water softener installed when I first bought my house and never had a problem with it, It was and on demand regenerate unit that saved salt.

Had a nice conversation with them when they came out for a service call, but really no help in solving my problem. Except for the fact that they motivated me to fix the problem on my own, not worth calling them. Basically I paid 160 for an estimate of an overpriced outdated replacement.
