Houston Nature Center is a well-maintained facility with a great rest area, clean and stocked restrooms, and excellent shower facilities. Visitors can enjoy a nice playground and ample picnic and camping spaces. Although some areas may be closed at times, the gardens and pond provide a lovely environment for exploration. The center is perfect for camping weekends and offers a clean and inviting atmosphere for all guests.

Stopped here to hop onto the Root River bike trail and stopped in before the Nature Center closed. They have so much local information & guides, along with interpretive information on flora and fauna! Super cool albino taxidermy.

Read the many reviews on Google or the various trail apps. Simply, one of the nicest paved trails in the region. There is a spot here and there that may need some maintenance however that's a given in a 42 mile stretch.
