Would suggest staying on the left side if you have smaller children. It is a big hill, goes fast. We ended up only walking back up halfway, so it wasn't so scary for the kids. Free parking. Someone built an honor system sled rack.

Kids have a blast there, just be careful of the trees when it's icy.

So much fun!! Love that the hill is groomed, kids had an absolute blast. Being an adult climbing the hill is a bit rough but the rush flying down the hill is worth it

This is a great hill for sledding. It's pretty long, you get decent speed, and don't have cross traffic to watch out for.

I brought my sons over to burn some energy, and the hill did not disappoint! I videoed one of them going down the hill and it was a solid 10 seconds, maybe more. They had a blast, and the 2 older were sad when I said it was time to go.

First of all, this is not a gym as it is described in the location information. This is just a good old-fashioned open air sledding hill. It's a large hill, and our kids, youngest to eldest, have all enjoyed it. The slope on the left as you're facing downhill is a little more gradual, so the younger kids may start out there, but no matter how young, they typically move over to the center or right side where the slope is a little steeper. Bring a thermos with some coffee, tea, or hot chocolate if it's cold, and plan to spend at least a half-day here. It can get pretty busy on the good weather days, or--as has been the case during some winters recently--on the few days when they're actually is enough snow for sledding. The slope of the Hill faces West, so during periods when we've had strong winds out of the West, the slope can be blown bare fairly quickly. The parking area is e surface lot, but you have to go up an inclined entry to reach it. If visiting the hill immediately after a snow event, you may be better off parking along the road that parallels the park to the south.
