Great! Lakes Candy Kitchen is a charming, family-run candy shop located along Lake Superior's North Shore in Knife River, Minnesota. Established in 2007, it carries on recipes from a family business dating back to 1905. The shop specializes in handmade chocolates and candies made in small batches, with ingredients like butter and heavy whipping cream. Visitors can see the candies being made, such as fresh caramels, and enjoy a variety of goodies in a small but delightful shop. The exterior is unique and fun, and the shop features friendly, helpful staff. It’s a great stop for families and travelers, with a kid-friendly park area on site and plenty of candy options, including popular items like Peanut Butter Melt and lemon bark. Though a bit pricey, the homemade chocolates are considered a special treat. The shop is seasonal, closing before December 25 and reopening in late April.
THE BEST candy store (in my humble opinion) in the state. My faves are the milk chocolate toffee squares, dark chocolate sea salt caramels, and the white chocolate almond bark. WOW! I can't wait until you open up this spring. Worth the drive from St.Paul !!

It has an unique exterior with fun things to see. Friendly and helpful staff. Someone was busy making fresh caramels when we were there. It's a small shop with lots of goodies. So many yummy chocolates!

What a fun stop along the north shore. You have to wander around outside before heading in and picking out your candy. I recommend the Peanut Butter Melt a ways.
