I’m so glad I found this place! I was searching for a timing belt replacement for my Honda Pilot, and Al’s Automatic Transmission not only provided the most competitive estimate but also gave a clear and detailed explanation of the costs involved. I also requested a spark plug replacement and an oil change, and they completed everything within the promised timeframe.
It’s such a relief to have found a mechanic I can trust—no more endless Google searches. Jay took the time to explain a potential issue that could arise down the road, but he wasn’t pushy at all. I appreciated that he even test drove the car to identify it. Thank you again for taking such great care of our vehicle!

The BEST shop around, Jay is awesome! Blew a radiator hose, towed it to the shop, had the part in less than 20 minutes, and fixed within an hour and a half. Pricing was great, everyone was super friendly - highly recommend!

Great guy!!!!!! I knew I had an issue with my transmission. He test drive it but car wouldn’t act up, he said come back if it happens again. So next time I did… he again drove and hooked it up to computer and we were finally able to gather a code. It was not a huge issue but my car would shake when shifting until turned off and scared me each time I drove. I took it to Honda after cause Al was booked… for repairs ..Honda was crappy to say the least. (They wouldn’t look
At my picture of code sad wanted to charge me lots to diagnose…and told me to turn car off… well then issue did not reoccur. I didn’t let them do anything and left…had a mechanic friend do repair but I’m forever grateful Al helped me get the issue figured out.

Brake repair, engine oil and filter, windshield wipers blades, tire pressure check all very affordable and quick. Very personable clean shop. Highly recommend in the Lakeland, Hudson area.

Fantastic service on my daughter's car. We only had it 2 months and started getting sudden transmission problem. After two shops told me we needed a new $6,000 transmission based on the check engine codes, I took it here on a last-ditch effort to save it before having "Sell a Junker" come pick it up at my house. Someone recommended it might be worth the effort to go to "Al's," based on their experience. Jay looked at the codes AND the car, actually listened to what I was saying, and in the end, was only a $320 repair for a transmission fluid leak. Also had them do a couple of other things, and all were reasonably priced, straightforward, etc. And Jay took the time to go over a few things with my daughter to help her keep it running well in the future. I was thrilled to not have to help her buy a second car in as many months, and she's thrilled as a new driver to have her car back.
