Overpriced but mostly just terrible service. Last time I came the manager closed his drawer right before my turn and had me wait 20 minutes for the other check out (I should have grabbed a cart to set my stuff down) and he eventually ended up checking me out himself after I watched him count his entire drawer. Then they tried to help an employee before checking me out, but I put my things down before they could because my arms were full. Today, I went I was in line for a second and another person was told to help me at the register. I set my things down and this girl with glasses and a green shirt tells me I need to take the hangers off next time. I say sorry I explain that I figured he would be checking me out so I wasn’t ready. Then she starts lecturing me about how even though it isn’t busy now, sometimes lines can get long and it helps, to which I said I understand that. Then when I paid I said no to donating and was treated coldly after. Told me to sign and didn’t give me any indication that I was good to go. Just super weird and terrible people skills in this location, plus I think they started selling their jewelry and stuff online because they don’t have any out anymore. Also the whole place smells like the bathroom.

Way too high priced. One check out counter. Rude employees.

Really surprised that the prices are so high. Some of the items are more expensive then just going to Walmart and picking up the same item cheaper.

Clean and some what organized but I waited to check out for almost 10 minutes with no employee in sight. Ended up just leaving without my items

Since Goodwill has grown unreasonably priced I've started going to other locations. The clothes were priced at $3.99 & $4.99 which makes it feel like you're finding little gems!

Very disappointed with this location. Donation hours were supposed to open up at noon. At 12: 10 somebody showed up but didn't open up the donation line, she finally came back outside around 12:20 and I asked if she was going to open up the line and she said yes eventually and told me to calm down. So I left. I wasn't being rude or anything, probably sounded annoyed but I had been waiting since 11:50. If you're going to be late you could just apologize instead of telling frustrated people to calm down. People will wait and can be understanding but to be rude and disrespectful when you're late is a strange way to deal with that situation.

This place is ridiculous I came in at 10:30 and the security guard immediately told me that they close in 7 minutes even though it says 11:00 p.m. on their website they kick everybody out of the store at 11:45 supposedly I was told to leave at 11:42 pm any other Burlington I have been to closes at 11:00 p.m. and if they are going to close any earlier than they should put that on their website so other people don't drive out of their way to go to the store. Their customer service is rude and ridiculous and they should seriously think about changing how they speak to their customers. Very messy it doesn't have anything organized or labeled. And needs New Management. When you walk in the security guards have to open a fabric type thing to let you walk into the store and they just sat in the front talking and bullshitting.

My toddler and I have visited this store several times, and on each occasion the staff have been quite friendly. We almost always find a treasure or two to take home with us. Prices in general are similar to other stores in the area, and I haven't been deterred by pricing during any visit. I collect antiques and appreciate the care they seem to take when readying donated items for resale.

I was in on June 2, 2025. The clerk was very friendly very nice person. There was soap that was six dollars and had a sticker that would be half price that day. So the soap would be three dollars. The soap has been around for a long time. I’m sure sitting on a shelf. I can go to the dollar store and get the same thing for under three dollars. And it hasn’t been sitting on a shelf somewhere for quite some time. I understand that you have people that are working for you. And the
🩷 overhead. I understand all that. I understand there’s rent. But I was surprised there was only about four cars in the parking lot at 2:30 in the afternoon. You have a lot of brand new things on the shelves from where I don’t know where you get them. I personally would not buy that stuff. I can get most of those items if I want them on Amazon when they’re on sale. Salvation Army used to be so much fun to go in there and get such great prices. People that go in there they want a thrill of the hunt. They don’t want boxes that are from Target that were returned and you’re not sure if the stuff is in there. Come on Salvation Army you can do better than this. And please clean up the store. It looks so bad for being new. Your pictures in the back are terrible. The furniture is scattered all over and looks awful. Thank you for listening. God bless. You

Donated a trunk full and back seat full of items in trash bags. Mostly clothes, but there were items mixed in of household goods, books, puzzles, toys. The person who helped take them ripped open the bag to sort in different boxes on the spot. It took awhile and cars started to line up.
Got into the store (first time this location/Lakeville) and noticed how high the prices were. Dramatically higher then other thrift stores in the area. I found a few items. I went to the register to pay. Paid, but as I was walking out thought the total was kind of high. I was putting my cart back and going over my reciept. The employee came out and asked if there was a problem. I told him that discounts were not applied. Also, puzzles were run up as bric a brack and no discount. Brought me back in and we went over the reciept ( all while a line was forming). I was told there were no returns and he couldnt tell me how he was going to make it right. I asked for a refund and was told no refunds. The line was 5 deep and I was not willing to stand in line. I did not see another worker in the entire store to help and no manager was called up. He knew what the color that was 50%off and knew puzzles were 25% off (based on our conversation going through the reciept), but still decided to not ring them up correctly.
I found it dishonest.
I know there is overhead when running a brick and mortar store. I appreciate the expenses that come with it, but there were so many clothes you couldn't go through them because it was so tight. Also, over a dozen rolling racks waiting to be put out. This was the day after a 50% off sale. If you have that much inventory, reduce the prices. People would be more inclined to donate and in return buy more.
I was really excited to try out this new store. I support the mission of The Salvation Army and all my donations go here, but the dishonestly really is a turn off.
Really disappointing.

Growing pains? Possibly. I had a trunk and back seat full of donations in trash bags. Mostly clothes, throw on some household items, toys, books and a few other items. Half the bags were a mix of stuff. I held up the line donating because he sorted the bays right there in the bay. Next time I will know to separate if donating to Lakeville. Did not recieve discounts on the color tags that were the color of the week. Puzzles were rang up as bric a brack with no discount given. Looked over receipt as I was putting my cart away. Cashier noticed this and asked if everything was OK. Went back and double checked. A few things were run up incorrectly. There was a line 5 deep and I didn't have the time to get back in line. I was told there were no refunds so not sure what he was going to do about making it right. Prices were not great. The store/racks were so full and about a dozen full racks of stuff to put out. I think thrift stores should go back to the importance of selling for volume. Items would move quickly, more people would be apt to donate knowing prices are budget friendly and more people would shop knowing they are getting a better deal then what they are now.

Respectfully, profit margins on donated items are massive. Thankfully, I don't rely on thrift stores but many people do. I visited out of curiosity and was surprised by much of the pricing. Some items were close to, if not more than, full retail -- on donated and used items.
